This Men's Health Month, we're reminding men to take care of yourselves. You don't have to wait until you're seriously ill or in pain to visit your doctor; in fact, you should be going to the doctor for a routine exam every year!

A study from the Cleveland Clinic showed that many men in the U.S. aren't prioritizing their health. In addition to skipping their yearly checkups, 44% don't take care of their mental health and 49% don't eat a healthy diet.

It's not selfish to take care of your mental and physical health – your loved ones will thank you for taking steps to live well.

Molina Healthcare of New Mexico celebrated the grand opening of its new One Stop Help Center in Albuquerque on Friday, May 29, expanding access to health care and social support services for individuals and families across Bernalillo County.

The new location marks Molina’s third One Stop Help Center in New Mexico — and the second to open in May — underscoring the organization’s continued investment in communities most impacted by rising costs of housing, utilities and access to care. By bringing critical services together in one centralized location, the center helps connect residents with the support they need closer to home.

Knowing what to do in a choking emergency can save a life. On Heimlich Maneuver Day, take a moment to learn the difference between helping an infant and helping older children or adults.

For babies under 1 year: Use a combination of back blows and chest thrusts — not abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver).

For children over 1 and adults: Use abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver) if they are choking and unable to breathe or speak.

Call 911 if the person becomes unconscious or if the object doesn’t come out.

A few minutes of learning today could make all the difference tomorrow.

A new resource hub is opening in Albuquerque!

Molina Healthcare of New Mexico is proud to open our newest One Stop Help Center — a place where community members can access health and social support services all in one location, at no cost.

From health care enrollment assistance and provider navigation to food access, utility support, housing resources, wellness programming, and more, the One Stop Help Center was created to help connect individuals and families to the services they need, close to home.

While we celebrate with community partners and local leaders during our ribbon-cutting ceremony, the One Stop Help Center is open and available to the entire community.
