Annual Enrollment for Medicare:
Friends and Family-Please protect yourself & Your parents from people who are calling on the phone for information.
1- NO ONE Should be calling you unsolicited to discuss Medicare advantage plans with you ( these are the plans you see advertising their benefits on TV). IF someone calls you to discuss this with you and you haven't asked them to, this should throw up major red flags . They don't play by the rules and is that really who you want to do business with?
2- Protect your Medicare number the same way you would protect your Credit card number. If someone calls you on the phone and says "Hey Mrs Smith let me get your credit card number to see if you qualify for any extra benefits"
Hopefully you wouldn't give it to them.. Protect your Self.
3- There are mailers going out to call in and see if you qualify for the $75 food card. If you do not have
Medicaid you will not qualify. If you want to be sure call YOUR agent, someone you already know and trust.
