Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all that served for our freedom. We celebrated yesterday at Broadmoor Senior Center in Rio Rancho. It was such a lovely ceremony. Thank you to Rio Rancho Senior Services for honoring our veterans and inviting us.

Last week I served root beer floats in appreciation for our seniors at Paloma Landing Gracious Living and Palmilla Senior Living!

Each resident got a root beer float and a goodie bag that had a first aid kit, hand sanitizer, and tissues.

Such a pleasure to serve and meet everyone and can’t wait to do future events at these locations.

If you know a location that deserves a root beer float party let me know!

Not only a licensed insurance agent, but also an experienced shuffleboard and horseshoe judge!

On June 8th-9th, 2022, our Albuquerque Humana Team volunteered at the New Mexico Senior Olympics. These two days were full of so much fun and laughter as we got cheer on those competing in the games!

We put in over 17 hours each in the span of two days, one of those days we pulled a 12 hour shift, trying to complete all the scheduled shuffle board games that day.

It was such a fun experience and can’t wait for next year. Thank you to all our participants that came out to the games!

This was the Welcome Home Honor Flight, Flight HFO622, June 3rd, 2022. What an honor it was to be included in this event.

Humana attended as a team and made thank you bags that were handed out to the veterans when they went through the crowd of people welcoming them home. I was in tears over how special this was for them and was so moved by their excitement to finally be welcomed home. Their faces say it all!

The Honor Flights are flown to celebrate veterans by flying them to Washington DC to be honored at national memorials and then flying them back home. Right now the Honor Flight is serving veterans who served from World War II, to the Korean War, to the Vietnam War.

This is done throughout the country and has two flights in New Mexico, one for Northern New Mexico and one for Southern New Mexico and El Paso.

If you are interested in learning about the Honor Flight, their website is www.honorflight.org.

The event was also broadcasted on KOAT, the link as follows:

What a fun day this was! On May 25th, our Albuquerque Humana Team worked three shifts at Roadrunner Food Bank for our national volunteer week.

First shift we made over 100 fresh produce bags, separating overripe produce to go to feed animals and good produce to go into bags for local distribution in pantries.

Second shift we made bags of cereal where we had to dress in gowns and hairnets (see picture below). The General Mills cereal plant here in Albuquerque donates any ”mess ups” to the food bank that then gets packaged an sent out by the pound. These ”mess up’s” didn’t have enough sugar but are still edible and were able to feed so many families here in New Mexico!

Third shift we made boxes of pre packages foods. Things like beans, rice, canned vegetables, oatmeal, and others were placed into boxes and sealed for distribution to New Mexicans all around the state!

Can’t wait to help out the food bank again here soon!

Hi! My name is Olivia Moss and I started my journey with Humana in March of 2022. I obtained my Life and Health Insurance License in April of 2022 and have jumped into life as an insurance agent.

Before Humana I was in college at the University of New Mexico. I graduated with a B.S. in Community Health Education in December of 2021.

Throughout college I was working for Apple as a Technical Expert. The main thing I was looking for when choosing to leave Apple was a company that gave me the ability to help people and make a genuine connection. Humana understood my needs right away and I knew it was the perfect fit.

I love my job! Not only do I get to help people figure out Medicare but I get to be a part of the community and participate in events all around New Mexico. This page allows you to see what I am working on. I want to share with you all the things I do and why I love working for Humana.
