“This transition is about strengthening access for patients in Saratoga County, now and into the future,” Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood CEO Chelly Hegan said in a statement. “UHPP already serves many Saratoga residents through our Albany and Troy health centers. By expanding our role in the county, we can build a more consistent, local and sustainable model of care that meets the needs of this community.”

The current health center will stay open while Planned Parenthood raises funds and searches for a smaller facility where it can operate four to five days a week.

Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood is hiring Youth Health Promoters!

Do you have a 14-21 in your life who values s*xual health education and access to s*xual health resources? Share our Youth Health Promoter job application with them!

This job begins with a training period, covering all areas of s*x and s*xuality including anatomy, HIV/AIDS and STDs, contraception (birth control), healthy communication skills, reproductive health, and the services offered at Planned Parenthood. Our YHPs lower teen pregnancy and STD rates in our community by distributing condoms, doing outreach in the local community and online through social media, presenting educational activities and programs, and providing resources and information to the youth of our community.

Last week, on May 28th, we celebrated our 2026 Spring Gala! The event was a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate the strength of our mission, the generosity that sustains this work, and the countless lives shaped by Planned Parenthood’s care.

Thanks to you, our incredible supporters, we raised critical funds to support UHPP’s commitment to providing essential health care at nearly 16,000 visits each year in Albany, Columbia, Greene, and Rensselaer counties through UHPP's three health centers (Albany, Hudson, and Troy), education programs, and advocacy for the rights of our community. Thank you again to our Presenting Sponsor, Godfrey Financial Associates, Inc. for their generous support, as well as our board members, gala sponsors, staff, volunteers, and guests who made the gala possible.

We were thrilled to celebrate our incredible honorees, Albany Mayor Dr. Dorcey Applyrs, recipient of the Assemblymember George Michaels Award for Bravery, and Perfect Ten Hudson, recipient of the Coalition and Community Partner Award. Our honorees inspired us to stand for something, to be louder in our convictions, and to remember that we are stronger when we go together.
