I recently asked someone in their mid-20s that question.

The conversation got quiet.

Not because he didn't know the answer, but because he had lived it.

As a child, he lost his father unexpectedly. There was no life insurance, no financial cushion, and no extra time for his family to adjust. His mother was left grieving while raising two young boys and navigating an uncertain financial future.

That story wasn't about a client.

It was about me.

Losing my father at a young age shaped how I view financial planning. I watched my mom carry the weight of providing for our family while working through the realities that followed.

Life insurance isn't for the person who passes away. It's for the people who have to keep moving forward. It provides time to grieve, heal, and focus on family instead of finances.
