The NAMS News Network is officially underway!

Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade are all creating content and writing stories for their very own news network! They are prepping interviews, learning how to operate cameras and reading the entire time.

We show our young people what avid readers can do. From writing scripts, to making video games and now starting a news network, they are learning in real time how important it is to be a strong reader.

They're learning to analyze stories, search for missing voices and to run a news outlet. This real time exploration into critical thinking, understanding narratives and identifying perspectives is more important now than ever.

We would love mentors and support! We want our young people to meet actual reporters, visit news stations and see what journalism looks like in the field! Nightwing is project lead and ready to connect!!!

Every book collected will go to a young reader. The books you fell in love with can inspire a new generation of readers!

Drop off gently used children’s books at any Sunmark Financial Center starting next week through Feb. 14. We’re teaming up with The RED Bookshelf, a local nonprofit inspiring kids to read and getting thousands of books into neighborhoods. 💙

We had a great time at this weekend!

Give literacy a shot was a fun way to enjoy good food, with good people and support a good cause.

The menu was incredible, the drinks were festive and put on a great community event. We are sad to see OTB go and grateful that we got to partner one last time.

Big thank you to for setting the tone and supporting us!

Our first event was an incredible success!!

Thank you to for hosting, thank you to for organizing and thank you to everyone who came out to support!!!

We played games, had drinks and discussed our collective love for reading and community. And raised a bunch of money to support our literacy efforts!

Our next event will be a special brunch at one week from today!!!

Storm will be hosting, there will be a DJ, drink specials, ways to donate books and special menu options for those who attend. We also have some prizes and extras in store.....
