Iran und USA haben sich auf einen Waffenstillstand geeinigt und sich 60 Tage Zeit gegeben um vielleicht einen dauerhaften Friedensvertrag zu erreichen. Seitdem ist es aber eher still geworden über die weiteren Verhandlungen. Donald Trump ist aktuell wohl mehr mit der Fussball Weltmeisterschaft beschäftigt. Die Märkte haben sich jedoch stabilisiert. Erdöl gibt nach und die Aktienmärkte ziehen wieder etwas an. In der Ukraine nichts neues könnte man auch sagen, aber ganz stimmt das nicht, Russland macht Treibstoffmangel Probleme, die gezielten Drohnenangriffe der Ukraine zeigen ihre Wirkung.

Iran and the US have agreed to a ceasefire and given themselves 60 days to potentially reach a lasting peace agreement. Since then, however, there has been little news about further negotiations. Donald Trump is currently more preoccupied with the FIFA World Cup. The markets, however, have stabilized. Oil prices are declining, and the stock markets are recovering somewhat. One might say there's nothing new in Ukraine, but that's not entirely true. Russia is experiencing fuel shortages, and Ukraine's targeted drone attacks are having an effect.

This is particularly evident in the S&P 500, which has stabilized but is still trading sideways.

As mentioned, oil prices have declined, but this could change again with any closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Gold, on the other hand, has already declined significantly; apparently, investors are not expecting further escalations and are moving from the safe haven of gold back into the stock and derivatives markets.

Peace negotiations in the Iran-Iraq War are underway, but a solution is apparently not yet in sight. Even though we are led to believe that an agreement is imminent, reality paints a different picture. The ceasefire has been extended, but whether this brings us any closer to peace remains to be seen. At the other flashpoint in Lebanon, the front lines appear to have hardened, and the ceasefire has been abandoned. Peace efforts in Ukraine are also showing signs of movement. Even the Kremlin is talking about peace negotiations, and EU representatives are happy to join the chorus. However, no one knows how much substance lies behind these talks, which is why attacks on civilian targets continue unabated. The impact of all this on the stock markets is easily explained. The stock market has now priced in all eventualities and is focusing more on the fundamentals of individual companies. This is clearly visible in the performance of the S&P 500.

Die Friedensverhandlungen im Irankrieg sind am laufen, aber eine Lösung ist offenbar noch nicht absehbar. Auch wenn man uns glauben machen will, dass man kurz vor ein em Abschluss steht, so zeigt uns die Realität ein anderes Bild. Die Waffenruhe wurde zwar verlängert, aber ob man deswegen dem Frieden näher ist, bleibt abzuwarten. Am anderen Brennpunkt im Libanon scheinen die Fronten zumindest verhärtetet und die Waffenruhe wurde at acta gelegt. Auch in der Ukraine kommt nun Bewegung in Friedensbemühungen. Selbst der Kreml spricht von Friedensverhandlungen und die Eu Vertreter stimmen gerne in das Lied mit ein. Doch wie viel Substanz dahinter steckt weiss niemand, demnach die Angriffe auch auf zivile Ziele unvermindert weiter gehen. Wie sich das ganze auf die Börsen auswirkt, ist leicht erklärt. Der Aktienmarkt hat mittlerweile alle Eventualitäten eingepreist und konzentriert sich wieder mehr auf die Substanz der einzelnen Unternehmen.

Sehr viel hat sich getan in den letzten Wochen. Donald Trump führt einen verhaltenen Krieg gegen den Iran und hatte offenbar nicht die Konsequenzen für die Weltwirtschaft bedacht. Als ihm dann klar wurde, welche Auswirkungen sein Handeln auf die Inflation und den Rohrölmarkt hat, versuchte er zurückzurudern. Diese Situation könnte den Iran schlussendlich sogar stärken, was für die Region fatal wäre. Momentan wird von Friendsverhandlungen gesprochen, aber aus welchem Grund sollte der Iran den Forderungen der Trump-Regierung zustimmen? Demnach der Präsident auch nur wenig Rückhalt im eigenen Land hat, sind seine Druckmittel äußerst begrenzt. Wieder einmal zeigte sich, dass Donald Trump keinerlei Weitsicht oder auch nur den Funken eines Plans hat.

A great deal has happened in recent weeks. Donald Trump is waging a low-key war against Iran and apparently failed to consider the consequences for the global economy. When he realized the impact of his actions on inflation and the crude oil market, he tried to backpedal. This situation could ultimately even strengthen Iran, which would be disastrous for the region. Currently, there is talk of "friends talks," but why should Iran agree to the Trump administration's demands? Given that the president has little support at home, his leverage is extremely limited. Once again, it has become clear that Donald Trump lacks both foresight and even a shred of a plan. It remains to be seen what will ultimately be the outcome of the disaster he has created in the Gulf region.

Das Jahr ist noch keine zwei Wochen alt und doch schon wird es in die Geschichte eingehen. Trumps Angriff auf Venezuela und die Ambitionen Richtung Grönland bringen die Weltpolitik in wilde Turbulenzen. Auch im eigenen Land regt sich der Aufstand gegen den Präsidenten und seine Methoden. Wie schon öfter bei ihm bemerkt, leidet er offenbar unter einem Aufmerksamkeitsdefizitsyndrom. Schnell verliert er das Interesse an Themen, wenn sie nicht schnell zu seiner Zufriedenheit erledigt werden, siehe Ukraine. Diese wird weiterhin bombardiert und ein Frieden scheint in weiter Ferne.

Die Märkte reagieren darauf eigentlich wenig, wir befinden uns in einer volatilen Seitwärtsbewegung, ähnlich einem Tiger, der gespannt auf seine Beute wartet und zum Sprung ansetzt. Doch selbst hier möchte Trump Einfluss nehmen, indem er eine Untersuchung gegen den Fed-Chef Jerome Powell auf den Weg bringt.

Was weiterhin extrem auf dem Vormarsch ist, sind die Edelmetalle.

The year is barely two weeks old, yet it will already go down in history. Trump's attack on Venezuela and his ambitions regarding Greenland are throwing world politics into turmoil. Even at home, there is growing rebellion against the president and his methods. As has often been observed, he apparently suffers from attention deficit disorder. He quickly loses interest in issues if they aren't resolved quickly to his satisfaction, as seen with Ukraine. The bombing continues, and peace seems a distant prospect.

The markets are actually reacting very little; we're in a volatile sideways movement, much like a tiger waiting intently for its prey, poised to pounce. But even here, Trump wants to exert influence by launching an investigation against Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

Precious metals continue to be extremely active. This is also a sign that market participants are expecting further turbulence, primarily resulting from the actions of Donald Trump.

Das Jahr nähert sich dem Ende und weiterhin sind wir mit den selben Konflikten konfrontiert wie zu Anfang des Jahres. In Gaza bröckelt der Waffenstillstand immer wieder und von einem dauerhaften Frieden sind wir wohl noch weit entfernt. Auch wenn es im Ukraine Konflikt so aussieht, dass es zu Verhandlungen kommt, bleibt abzuwarten ob sich Putin wirklich an den Tisch setzt. Böse Zungen könnten behaupten Trump versucht alles als Friedensstifter da zu stehen, um vielleicht doch noch den Friedensnobelpreis zu erhalten. Leider sind seine Bemühungen wenig durchdacht und weisen für Langfristigkeit große Lücken auf.

Der Markt sieht das ganze etwas abwartend, wir bewegen uns zur Zeit etwas in einer Seitwärtsbewegung. (S&P 500)

Euro - Dollar bewegt sich weiterhin in Wellen, je nachdem wie ob die geopolitischen Ereignisse positiv oder negativ für die EU sind.

Erdöl wurde seit Sommer kontinuierlich billiger, und selbst jetzt in den Wintermonaten bleibt der Preis eher niedrig.
