🚨 CYBER ALERT FOR WATER UTILITIES 🚨
Federal authorities are warning of increased cyber threats targeting drinking water and wastewater systems across the United States. Municipal water departments should review remote access controls, strengthen passwords, enable MFA, and ensure critical systems are not exposed to the internet.

A cyberattack on a water utility can quickly become a public safety and operational emergency.

Download and share NYMIR's one-page bulletin for key risks, warning signs, and recommended actions.

Heavy rainfall has led to localized flooding and flash flood conditions in parts of New York. Municipalities should document any storm-related damage and report losses as soon as possible.

✅ Notify your broker and NYMIR immediately of any losses
✅ Take photos and videos before cleanup begins
✅ Save all receipts and claim-related documentation
✅ Retain insurance records that may be required for FEMA assistance.

Significant storm damage could make municipalities eligible for FEMA aid. Accurate and timely reporting is critical to support recovery efforts.

NYMIR is here to support our members before, during, and after severe weather events.
