Today, we honor Juneteenth—a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.
