Congressman Josh Riley (NY-19) visited Saunderskill Farm in Ulster County last week to discuss the late frost in April that destroyed a significant portion of fruit crops in the Hudson Valley. Riley’s visit followed Gov. Hochul’s request to USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins to make a disaster declaration, which would facilitate funding for farmers who suffered losses. From left: NYFB County Manager John VanDerwerken, Dan Schoonmaker, Congressman Riley and Renee Ciardi.
