A federal incentive would be a landmark step toward strengthening our nation’s economy and bringing more production to local communities in all 50 states.

We applaud President Trump’s support for this vital action, and look forward to continuing to work with the White House and bipartisan leaders in Congress to enact a meaningful and effective national incentive into law.

FilmUSA Statement
FilmUSA welcomes the President's call for Congress to pass a bipartisan federal production incentive.
Production supports jobs in all fifty states. A federal incentive would work alongside the state programs our film commissions have spent decades building.
The United States was once where most of the world's screen work happened. That is no longer true and a National Incentive allows the USA to be globally competitive and grow production jobs in the USA.
FilmUSA has advocated for a coordinated federal strategy since our founding: a national production incentive, restoration of Section 181, and a federal film office to align what are now fifty separate efforts. We are encouraged that this moment has arrived, and we are ready to work with leaders in both parties to get the policy right.
