The Summit County Land Bank lost a very dear friend and board member today. We are so grateful to have worked alongside him to strengthen neighborhoods and communities here in Summit County and our hearts are with his family, friends, and the entire Coventry Township community.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Trustee George Beckham.

We are all shocked and heartbroken by this incredibly sad news. George dedicated decades of service to Coventry Township, first serving as Township Zoning Inspector for 30 years before being elected to serve as Township Trustee in 2020.

His longstanding commitment to our community and the residents of Coventry Township leaves a lasting impact, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with George’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

We will share additional information as it becomes available. Please keep George’s family in your thoughts and prayers.
