We need puppy foster homes!
Puppies come to the Aiken County Animal Shelter and we need foster homes to keep them healthy and loved until they can get the vaccinations they need to be adopted.
It’s typically two to three weeks.

We do require our foster homes to be in Aiken County and all pets in the home must be fully vaccinated.

The Old Vaucluse Road bridge over I-20 has officially reopened to traffic! 👏

Crews have been working tirelessly to replace the bridge after being damaged in June 2025. Not only has the bridge been rebuilt, it’s been improved to serve this Aiken County community better than before. 🤝

If you drive past this bridge on I-20, make sure to slow down for the SCDOT contractors who are still working in the area!
