🦖🌱 Dinosaur Garden Fun at the Cook County Library! 📚✨
This summer, we had the opportunity to visit the Cook County Library and teach a fun, hands-on class about creating dinosaur gardens!

Our Cook County Farm Bureau Women's Chair, Mrs. Ray Bloser, led the class and showed everyone how to build their own miniature dinosaur habitats. Participants added soil, water, succulents, leafy plants, painted rocks to look like lava and a water source, green moss, and small dinosaurs to complete their prehistoric gardens. 🦕🌿🌋

As we built our gardens, we talked about the different plants we were using and how to care for them. We connected those lessons to agriculture by explaining that, just like these little gardens need the right care to grow, farmers carefully care for their crops every day to help them thrive.
It was a fun way to combine creativity, gardening, and agriculture while helping others discover the importance of taking care of plants! 🌱🚜💚

We have been super busy this summer partnering with the Cook County Library! We had the opportunity to participate in some summer fun and be part of their Summer Reading Program. 🦖🌋📚🌱🦖🔬

At their end-of-summer event, we hosted a fun science activity featuring volcano eruptions! The kids got to experience both a physical reaction and a chemical reaction through hands-on experiments.

The best part was connecting it all back to agriculture. The kids discovered which agricultural products were used to make these exciting science experiments possible, showing them that agriculture is involved in so much more than they might expect. It was a fun way to combine science, learning, and agriculture while sparking curiosity and creativity!

🌿 Join us at the library for the Teen/Adult Dinosaur Garden Making Class!🦖

What’s a dinosaur garden? It’s a tiny prehistoric world where plants and dinosaurs come together! Participants will create their own mini dinosaur habitat using real plants, decorative dinos, soil, and more. Along the way, we’ll learn about the different kinds of plants we’re using, the best soil for healthy growth, how much water plants need, and tips for caring for your garden at home.

Whether you’re a plant lover or just looking for a fun and relaxing activity, this class is the perfect mix of nature, creativity, and a little prehistoric flair. Spaces may be limited, so reach out to the library to get signed up! 🌱✨

Mrs. Connie, our amazing office secretary, has her GFB Passports ready to get stamped at every Certified Farm Market she visits! 🌽📍 She loves shopping for fresh local produce — especially squash, okra, butter beans, and sweet Georgia peaches!🍑 Stop by your local Farm Bureau and pick up your GFB Passport to support Georgia farmers right alongside her!

🍑 Did you know? Georgia grows more than 130 million pounds of peaches each year, and peaches are actually part of the rose family! 🌹

Peach season is here, and there’s no better time to support our local growers. Be sure to stop by participating certified farm markets or your local Farm Bureau office to pick up your Farm Bureau Passport before you start your peach shopping adventures! 🧺

As you visit markets and buy your fresh peaches, don’t forget to get your passport stamped along the way. Collect stamps, support local agriculture, and enjoy some of the sweetest peaches around! 🍑✨

And remember… life’s just "peachy" when your passport is full of stamps! 😄
