2025 Recap: The Choice.
2025 tested me in ways I didn’t expect. It was a year of whiplash—momentum followed by stalls, rate volatility that kept us on our toes, and moments where I seriously questioned myself. This year forced a choice: give up or get better.
I choose to get better.
Building a mortgage broker business is a lot of unseen work. It’s navigating tight margins, adapting to compliance shifts, and wearing every hat—sales, marketing, IT, HR—every single day. At the same time, I fought to stay present as a husband, provider, son, and brother. There were periods where I felt unbalanced and, honestly, alone in the trenches.
But I wasn’t alone. My wife never left my side. Her support and belief in me carried me when the path was blurry. ❤️
The biggest lesson of 2025 was about finding the right alignment. Business relationships naturally shifted this year. While change is never easy, it opened the door for incredible new connections. I’m grateful for that evolution because it surrounded me with partners who share the same values—people who are truly running this race with me and care as much about the families we serve as I do.
And because of that focus, there were massive wins: 🏆 I guided 20 families to the closing table and into their new homes. (That’s 20 dreams realized.) ✅ I turned a profit in one of the most complex housing markets we’ve seen. ✅ I leveraged AI to reclaim my time and focus on what matters. ✅ I felt genuine love and support from my congregation, family, and friends.
There’s a line that stuck with me this year: Growth isn’t loud. It happens when you refuse to walk away while everything feels heavy.
I’m entering 2026 with a clearer mindset, a stronger foundation, and deep gratitude. To the referral partners who trusted me with your clients' dreams and livelihoods this year—thank you. Your trust is the fuel for this engine, and I don't take it lightly.
Let’s continue building something exceptional, together.
Here’s to 2026. 🥂
