⛈️☔️ Strong Weather/Storms are predicted for this afternoon/evening. Tornadoes, Hail & High Winds. 👎 Here are your reminders:

HOME, BUSINESS & STRUCTURAL DAMAGE:
If you have roof or siding damage, call a roofing contractor of your choice to have them come start the estimate process. They can mitigate further damage, too. They will tell you if you have damage that exceeds your deductible.

AUTO DAMAGE
If you have auto damage above your deductible, you can go on the State Farm app and get the claim filed right away. It’s your choice where you want to take it for repairs. If you don’t feel comfortable using the app, please call my office and we can help you with that process. 785-263-2230.

TIPS
Pull your vehicles under a shelter if possible. If not, parking it close to a building on the opposite side of the storm direction helps reduce wind/hail damage.

Tie down (or weigh down) outdoor furniture, trampolines, toys, etc., anything that can blow away. Put your potted plants & outdoor decor under shelter or bring them inside.

If you have a basement, have the sturdiest room ready to go - bring a mattress in to cover yourselves with. If you don’t have a basement, make a backup plan now.

Put bottled water, a change of clothes and non-perishable food in your shelter. Bring medications/inhalers/medical necessities to your shelter. Keep legal documents in your safe room if possible.

Make sure you have closed toe shoes on - don't go to your shelter barefoot.

Charge your phones!
