Only one week left for landowners to review and consider base acre increases on farms enrolled in Agriculture Risk Coverage or Price Loss Coverage.

After reviewing the Base Allocation Summary, landowners should contact their local FSA office by Aug. 31, 2026, if acreage history data is incorrect or missing, there are “subsequent acres” listed and you would like to choose the subsequent acreage for base allocation, or to opt out of receiving any additional base acres.

RMA just announced deferral of interest charges due to the challenges farmers and ranchers are facing challenges in many parts of the country. Interest accrual on premium payments and administrative fees, as noted in the bulletin, will be waived to the earliest of an additional 60 days of the scheduled payment due date or the termination date on policies with premium billing dates between July 1, 2026, and September 30, 2026.
