As investors look beyond Middle East tensions, U.S. economic fundamentals are coming into sharper focus, driven by an accelerating AI investment and robust corporate profit growth, reinforcing the constructive case for equities. However, elevated inflation may keep rate cuts off the table and limit near-term progress in bond markets.

Senior Economist James McCann explains what this could mean for investors in our Weekly Market Wrap.

Honoring Service, Sacrifice, and Those Who Support our Veterans

As we approach Memorial Day, the past several days have been a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military members and the importance of supporting those who have served.

I had the privilege of attending the Military Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the Harford County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday. The event was on APG at Top of the Bay. One of the most meaningful moments of the luncheon was when the Gold Star Families in attendance were honored. If you are unaware, Gold Star Families, are those whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our nation.

On Thursday, I was proud to sponsor and participate in the golf tournament benefiting CHEP, Inc. Chep is a non-profit that does incredible work helping homeless and endangered veterans get back on their feet by providing temporary housing and resources.

As Memorial Day approaches, let us remember that this holiday is more than the unofficial start of summer. It is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our freedoms. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifices made by their families should never be forgotten.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Health Awareness is a very important topic to me.

Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, I was a Police Officer for 15 years. The last 5 years, I was struggling with PTSD eventually being officially diagnosed and leaving law enforcement.

I am open about my struggles because I know how isolating it can be and you think that you are the only one going through it.

It is a passion of mine to work with Veterans, First Responders and anyone going through mental health issues.

I have worked with CHEP, Inc., VFW MD, and Cecil County Firemen's Association helping where ever I can.

I have also seen that finances are one of the first things to be effected when mental health issues arise.

I have helped clients with budgets, debt management and starting a plan for the future. When we work with clients either currently struggling or digging out of the damage from mental health, that small steps in the right direction make a big difference.

Finally, I want to say that if you think you are alone in your struggles, you are not. I have been there and there are many more like you. Please reach out if you are struggling and need to talk to someone you trust or need help digging out of debt caused by your mental health issues.

Therapy isn't a shameful thing and can really help your quality of life.

You Matter and You are not alone.

It's Gonna Be May

And just like that, we are already 1/3 of the way through the year.

Are you 1/3 of the way toward your financial goals or has this year just happened?

It is not too late to start acting intentionally with your money and get in sync with your goals.

I love helping being be intentional with their goals and money.

You don't need to wait until next year to restart your financial resolutions.

Are looking to revisit your retirement plan, make adjustments, identify missed opportunities, or get yourself back on track?

If the first 4 months flew by, let's make sure the next 8 are intentional.

Supporting Those Who Served On and Off the Course!

This past Friday, I had the privilege of sponsoring and supporting the VFW MD Golf Tournament and it was an incredible time!

Spending the day alongside the VFW members and supporters was a powerful reminder of why I do what I do. The men and women who served our country deserve not only our gratitude but also the support and resources to build a strong financial future.

As a financial advisor, I am passionate about working with veterans and their families to help :

-Build a Retirement Strategy they can count on
-Navigate Benefits and Long-Term Planning
-Create Financial Clarity and Confidence for the years ahead

These events are about connection, service and giving back to those who have given so much!

I am proud to support organizations like the VFW and to be a part of a community that shows up for our veterans.

Red Friday means something to me.

Edward Jones has always been proud to support our first responders and veterans, and on Fridays, I’ll be wearing my new Red Friday polo as a small way to show that support.

Beyond Friday, I’m grateful to be involved with several veteran charities and organizations, including being a business supporter of CHEP, Inc., an outstanding nonprofit that serves at‑risk and homeless veterans, helping them rebuild skills, find stability, and get back on their feet.
You’ll also find me out on the course supporting our veterans:

⛳ Friday at the VFW MD at Ruggles Golf Course in Aberdeen
⛳ In a few weeks at the Cecil County Memorial VFW Post 6027 Golf Tournament on Armed Forces Day

There’s still time to sign up for both tournaments, and I hope to see many of you out there supporting those who’ve served our country.

Honored to give back to those who’ve given so much.
