🔧🎉 Welcome New Member: Hargrave's Plumbing, LLC Youngsville! 🎉🔧

We are excited to welcome Hargrave’s Plumbing to the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce!

Hargrave’s Plumbing is truly a family business with deep roots in Acadiana. Travis and Bridget Hargrave started the company in 2005 with just one truck, building on a family tradition that began when Travis learned the plumbing trade from his father, Burt. Today, they have grown to seven trucks and two locations, with all of their Vermilion Parish service dispatched from their Youngsville shop. 👏

They serve both residential and commercial customers with everything from water heaters, drain and sewer cleaning, and leak detection to gas lines, water filtration, repipes, sewer line repair, and new construction.

And their reputation speaks for itself! Hargrave’s Plumbing has a 4.9 rating with more than 1,100 reviews, an A+ BBB rating, and was voted first place in Acadiana’s Choice in both 2024 and 2025! 🏆

WHAT. A. DAY. 💚🌊

Yesterday, more than 50 people showed up for our Love Our Waterways Vermilion Parish Community Cleanup, and when we say they showed up, THEY SHOWED UP!

We had boats on the water, kayaks in the water, and volunteers on foot walking our roads and picking up trash from ditches. By the end of the day, we had completely filled TWO trash bins provided by the Vermilion Parish Police Jury.

And y’all… we found EVERYTHING. 😂 Tires, ice chests, a vacuum cleaner, a bench, a toilet seat and plenty of other things that definitely did NOT belong in our waterways or ditches!

But the best part of the day was seeing so many people come together for one reason. We love Vermilion Parish, and we want it to be a place we are proud to call home. 💚

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this cleanup happen, including the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office, Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission, Keep Abbeville Beautiful, the Abbeville Garden Club, Abbeville Fire Department, Abbeville Police Department, Teche-Vermilion Fresh Water District, and the Vermilion Parish Police Jury for providing the trash bins that we managed to completely fill!

And a special thank you to Whittington Veterinary Clinic for providing our tent because let me tell you, that shade was DEFINITELY needed! ☀️😂

Most of all, THANK YOU to every person who showed up. Whether you brought a boat, launched a kayak, walked a ditch, hauled trash, helped organize or just jumped in wherever you were needed, you made a difference.

And we’re already thinking BIGGER for next year! 👏

📅 SAVE THE DATE: September 16, 2027!

Our goal is to DOUBLE our volunteers and have cleanup locations throughout Vermilion Parish. If 50+ people can accomplish this much, imagine what 100+ of us can do!

We love our waterways. We love our communities. We LOVE Vermilion Parish.

✂️ Ribbon Cutting Celebration!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of celebrating Abbeville Premier Surgical Services with an official ribbon cutting! 🎉

Located right here in Abbeville, Premier Surgical Services provides general surgical care close to home, giving patients in our community access to the care they need without having to leave Vermilion Parish.

We are always excited to celebrate businesses and healthcare providers who choose to invest right here in our community. Having quality services available locally matters, and we are proud to welcome Abbeville Premier Surgical Services!

We might be a little biased, but we think Louisiana has the BEST Lieutenant Governor! 💚💙

Today we were proud to be in New Orleans for the kickoff of Love Our Waterways and to see firsthand the work being done across our state to keep Louisiana beautiful.

Vermilion Parish was well represented! Keep Abbeville Beautiful, the Abbeville Garden Club, Sheriff Eddie Langlinais, our Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission, Erath, Councilwoman-elect Kristin Vincent, and the Vermilion Chamber were all there representing our parish and showing that Vermilion is ready to do our part.

A huge thank you to Billy Nungesser Lt. Governor of Louisiana, everyone with Keep Louisiana Beautiful, and the Lieutenant Governor’s Office for making today happen and for everything they do to support cleanup efforts, protect our waterways, and help communities across Louisiana take pride in the places we call home.

Now it’s our turn, Vermilion Parish! 💚

🎉 Celebrating Our August Members of the Month! 🎉

As August comes to a close, we have to give one more BIG congratulations to our two August Members of the Month, Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital and Premier Farm and Ranch ! 👏❤️

Our August Members of the Month are practically neighbors in Kaplan, but they each serve our community in very different ways!

🏥 Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital is there for our community when we need them most. Their physicians, nurses, staff, and leadership work every day to provide quality healthcare close to home while continuing to invest in the health and well being of the people they serve. We are also proud to have Jennifer Gerard, Hospital Administrator, serving on our Chamber Board of Directors as First Vice President. Jennifer gives her time and leadership to the Chamber, and we are grateful to have her at the table helping us serve our business community.

🚜 Premier Farm & Ranch Supply in Kaplan represents so much of what we love about our agricultural community. From tractors and equipment to feed, beef, homegrown vegetables, and even their own seasoning, they truly have a little bit of everything. You might walk in needing something for the farm and leave with supper too! 😂🥩🌽

This is exactly why we love Member of the Month. It gives us the opportunity to celebrate the businesses and organizations that serve our communities, employ our people, support our local economy, and make Vermilion Parish a better place to call home.
