The rains have started for the first season here in Uganda, its the Best time to plant the citrus seedlings. First of all clear your garden and dig holes width of 60cm and depth 60cm at a spacing of 6m*6m or 6m*5m. Add compost manure to fill the hole. Plant the seedling in the middle of the hole.

On the 12th January 2015, the Minister of Teso Affairs helped TEFCU to hand over office furniture to 40 Primary Cooperative societies.
The offices will be useful to the union and other partners to reach the farmers, provide technical guidance and also get useful information like farming data, membership and report.
The offices will be the resource centers for information in markets, prices, production and any other social economic information useful to farmers. They will also be used as the contact areas with buyers for price negotiation before reaching individual farmers or sub-collection sites at parish level.

One of our ongoing campaigns is mobilizing funds to buy a truck for transporting fruits to consumers far away. We are hoping that through this, Teso fruits will be known as a quality product in the whole East Africa.
