The greatest financial exposure is not always the insured loss.

It's the three months of downtime after the incident. The clients who move to a competitor while you're rebuilding. The supply chain that never quite recovers.

That's the gap risk engineering is built to close. Done properly, it shows a business exactly where it's exposed - before an incident forces it to find out. It also changes the conversation with insurers: less guesswork for them, better terms for you.

More on why this is becoming essential for businesses across Africa: https://www.olea.africa/blog/why-risk-engineering-is-becoming-essential-for-businesses

This Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage every man to prioritize his well-being not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.

In a world that often expects men to remain strong and silent, it's important to remember that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Taking time to rest, talk, reflect, and ask for help when needed can make a significant difference.

Let's continue creating workplaces and communities where conversations about mental health are welcomed, supported, and free from stigma.

EnterpriseRiskManagement is the consistency and alignment across how leading internationals define risk and enterprise risk management. ERM protects value, strengthens resilience and makes better decisions in a complex operating environment.

OLEA Uganda had a pleasure of delivering an insightful training on Enterprise Risk Management with Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd. Thanks to Kevin Choi a trusted strategic Risk Consultant from Marsh UK who shared the importance of ERM in a business, its value and benefits. The key takeaways were ERM creates value when it shapes decisions, priorities and actions. Consistency builds ERM and embedding Enterprise Risk Management means making RISK everyone's business.
