WE MISSED EXAMS IN 1979 AND 1985
In 1979, we missed first term exams as the war Uganda-Tanzania war that had broken out at Mutukula boarder post in October 1978, had reached Masaka. After the fall of Kampala to Tanzanian forces and Ugandan exiles on April, we went back to school in May and started Term ll.The whole of Uganda was taken over on June 3rd.
In 1985, we missed PLE and UCE exams by UNEB in Southern and Western Uganda as NRM/NRA had cut us off and we were under Interim Government of Al Haji Moses Kigongo at Kasese, as Chief Administrator assisted by a cabinet of commissioners and Commander Jacob Asiimwe as Permanent Secretary, with a number of Special District Administrators, l remember Commander john Kazzora who was in charge of greater Kabale.
After NRM/NRA victory on January 26th 1986, we returned to school and sat for PLE and UCE. UACE had been extended from November-December-to March-April, as a result of 1979 war, and it remained there up to late nineties.
So we should be prepared for the challenges as they unfold. All this on Negwozadde Program moderated by Dunstan Busuulwa on Top Radio tomorrow Saturday March 21st starting at 08.00 am. Stay tuned please.

NDAGA YELLOW TO KICK OFF EARLY NEXT MONTH
The registration of old and new NRM members exercise is scheduled to kick of early next month.
It will be known as Ndaga Yellow
It will take five days.
It will be run by NRM village or zonal registrars.
They will be neutral.
They will have identification from NRM Secretariat.
Targeted group are those ageing 16 years and above.
But actual voters will be those ageing 18 years and above
Membership cards will not be issued promptly but at a later date.
The program will be launched by NRM Nati9onal Chairperson.

LAKE MUTTANZIGE NOT ALBERT.
Locusts are not new. They invaded the Great Lakes Region during the Abacwezi dynasty of Bunyoro Kitara empire and that is why Lake Muttanzige was named so until 1865 when a British explorer called it Lake Albert.
Interestingly, one of the ministers (State for Karamoja) in charge of fighting locusts is Kizige.
My own great great grandfatyher was Luzige at Kisawo in Buddu. Probably, he was born in the years of locusts invasion.
