It is one of the model SACCOs in Uganda and East Africa at large. The SACCO has grown from 11 members in Naggalama zone to a diversified financial institution,focusing mainly on developing saving culture and wealth creation of it’s members. During the 1970s,the economic situation of our nation was extremely pathetic.It will be recalled that this was the period when essential commodities were lin

ed up for. This was done normally during class time ,that meant that teachers almost missed essential commodities . To make matters worse, even when some of them were allocated the commodities ,they had no money to purchase them. It should be vividly recalled that some pupils/students were more decently dressed than their teachers . It is against this background that 2 teachers in Naggalama zone founded what is currently known as Mukono Region Teachers'SACCO Ltd. Mukono Region Teachers’ SACCO Membership is open to all teachers;primary,secondary and tertiary institutions of learning and any other member of the society so long as he/she is financially credible . The core business of the SACCO is to mobilize savings and provide financial services to members for their economic development. The primary purpose of the SACCO is to provide high quality reasonable priced financial products and services that not only meet ,. but exceeding members'expectations
To attain this ,extensive savings is required to provide the necessary funds for these investment opportunities.

- Members savings
- Providing credit facilities to members.
- Member education about income generating projects.
- Support professional member upgrading programmes and school fees programmes for members children.
- Ensure that our members get individual insurance covers through AIG(U) Ltd.
- To ensure that our members get executive burial facilities through our business partner , Uganda Funeral Services
