Shaping Global Minds, Grounded in Ugandan Values

On 14th February 2026, in Kyanja–Kungu, we proudly held the ground-breaking ceremony for MESU Academy—a bold and timely step toward redefining education in Uganda.

MESU Academy is being developed as an international school offering the IB curriculum, while intentionally nurturing children to become leaders who can build, sustain, and grow family businesses and generational wealth—without losing their culture, identity, or Ugandan values.

For many families, quality education has often meant sending children abroad. While this exposure is valuable, it has also created a gap: children return disconnected from their culture, unfamiliar with the local business environment, and unable to effectively apply their global knowledge within Uganda. In many cases, this disconnect makes it difficult for them to continue or grow family enterprises built over generations.

MESU Academy is designed to solve this problem.

We are building a school where children receive world-class education at home, while developing:
• Strong morals and character
• Leadership and entrepreneurial thinking
• Creative and strategic management skills
• Cultural confidence and a strong Ugandan identity

Words can not explain the excitement and gratitude we have to have made 10 year in business.

MCS has over the last 10 years impacted its members through generational wealth building, and creating passive income investment opportunities to help members achieve financial freedom.

13th December was almost like a movie. As founder members recounted the earlier years of the Sacco, and our Parron recounted the journey he walked with the team of young people trying to change the world.

The event was attended by many dignitaries from regulating bodies, and the government offices who were lead by the guest of honor, Hon. Fredrick Ngobi Gume, the Minister of State for Cooperatives under the ministry of trade and cooperatives.

He urged members to keep the spirit of resilience and encouraged people to join cooperatives like MCS to enhance collective and faster economic growth.

For MCS, the sky is not even the limit.
