Balcon credit Affordable microfinance for a better change Balcon Credit (U) Limited is a limited liability company duly incorporated in Uganda under the Companies Act.

The company was founded in 2012; targeting the economically active poor in Uganda. From its humble roots serving small scale women entrepreneurs in the markets of Kampala, Balcon is growing to become one of the emerging MFIs in Uganda targeting low income people including micro- small and medium entrepreneurs with affordable credit and mobile money solutions.

This is baby Mary. Her mother passed away a week after delivery and because no relative showed up, the mother was buried in a public cemetery. Mary’s father has now abandoned her and the landlord (where the mother was living - in the slums) has decided to take care of baby Mary.
