Today, we joined our partners at Stanbic Bank Uganda for the HR Breakfast under the theme, โ€œUnlocking True Growth for Your Teams,โ€ contributing to the ongoing conversation around preserving wealth through insurance and supporting financially empowered teams.

Raphael Bisaso, our Head of Sales and Marketing (LGIU), spoke about Liberty Ugandaโ€™s Pay As You Go Motor Insurance solution, highlighting the realities motorists face daily, from accidents and claims to the need for dependable support when it matters most. He shared how the solution offers affordable and flexible premium options that make motor insurance more accessible, while also speaking to our partnership with Stanbic on defensive driving training focused on safer roads and improved wellbeing.

Our Managing Director (LGIU), Peter Makhanu, also spoke about staff welfare and the role financial planning plays in improving standards of wellbeing across teams and organisations.

As Liberty Uganda, we remain committed to strengthening our partnership with Stanbic while empowering individuals and businesses to achieve financial freedom through trusted life and general insurance solutions, because wherever life takes you, we are in it with you.

We joined the Uganda Cargo Consolidators Association at their Annual Stakeholder Engagement, officially launching Insure Emaali Yo and signing an MOU. The focus stayed clear, de-risking Ugandaโ€™s trade ecosystem through practical marine insurance.

Paul Kavuma, our Country Head of Operations (LGIU), unpacked Libertyโ€™s Marine Insurance offering, linking practice and legislation. He showed how it supports compliance, protects traders during losses, and spans the full supply chain. He also grounded the discussion in real trade routes like the Strait of Hormuz, bringing global risk into local context, while reinforcing Libertyโ€™s strength in claims delivery and experience.

Our MD (LGIU), Peter Makhanu, connected the bigger picture. Traders and consolidators sit at the centre of growth, and structured protection gives them room to scale with confidence. He opened the door for deeper collaboration as Insure Emaali Yo takes shape.

From the Insurance Regulatory Authority, Steven Kaddu Mukasa highlighted marine insurance as a pillar of stability, pointing to the Marine Portal as a tool for transparency and wider adoption.

URAโ€™s Henry Kwaligonza Byenkya reinforced compliant trade, while Dr. Geofrey Okaka and Sarah Kagingo called for structure, openness, and continuous engagement across the ecosystem.

UCCA leadership, led by Vice Chairman Neezha and Chairperson Kenneth Ayebare, kept the conversation grounded in reality, trust, and cost efficiency, including the shift from the 1.5 percent surcharge to a more structured approach through marine insurance.

We stay in it with you. Insure Emaali Yo ne Liberty.

We were part of this yearโ€™s Annual Insurance Agents Convention, recognising the role agents play in helping individuals and businesses manage risk, build resilience, and secure peace of mind through the right protection.

At the convention, Meron Atwine, our Business Development Manager Agency at LGIU, led a practical conversation on navigating compliance, reinforcing the need for deeper product knowledge to better protect customers and handle complaints with confidence.

Our financial advisors also had the opportunity to be part of the 15th Annual Insurance Agents Awards 2025 that followed, where we celebrated the consistency and impact of this initiative in recognising excellence across the industry.

As the industry stepped into a new era under the theme Becoming a Champion of Protection, Performance and Purpose, we remained committed to supporting agents and the association to grow, strengthen their expertise, and deliver real value where it matters most, because at Liberty Uganda we are in it with you as you build trust, protect livelihoods, and support long term financial security.

Liberty Uganda was part of the conversation at the 11th Annual Oil and Gas Convention, staying close to the ideas shaping one of the countryโ€™s most important sectors.

Paul Kavuma our Country Head of operations(LGIU) led the insurance session, guiding a practical discussion on how insurance supports efficiency across oil and gas projects. The focus stayed on what it takes to back a sector that is both highly productive and exposed to complex risk. Strong performance raises the stakes, which keeps risk management at the centre of every decision.

The conversation opened up the full value chain. Brokers came through as key players in structuring solutions and strengthening outcomes. The need for deep technical capacity and the ability to respond to evolving risks was clear as projects scale. There was alignment on starting these conversations early, bringing partners in from the outset and building confidence in the industryโ€™s readiness. Insurers, global partners, and reinsurers are stepping up to support the size and complexity of these risks.

Alongside Multilines International, we were proud to be part of the exchange shaping what comes next.

As projects move forward, the need for the right cover becomes sharper. Protecting the people behind the work and securing their financial futures sits just as important as covering assets, operations, and large scale liabilities. Liberty Uganda is ready to support both sides, in it with you.

From the opening moments to the final exchanges, the 8th IBAU Conference brought together the people and perspectives that keep this industry moving.

Team Liberty Uganda showed up in African prints with touches of red alongside our signature blue, a reflection of identity, pride, and the communities we serve. It set the tone for how we engaged across the days, grounded and intentional.

โ€œTrust Reimagined, Delivering Our Promiseโ€ carried through the conversations. There was a clear focus on what it means to follow through, to stay accountable, and to build meaningful relationships.

Our support for the broker platform this year speaks to a long-term view. Platforms like this shape the direction of the industry and create room for growth, connection, and shared progress.

We spent the conference listening, contributing, and staying close to the conversations that matter. Thatโ€™s how we continue to show up, present and engaged, because weโ€™re in it with you.
