At Edes & Associates, we believe that investing in young professionals is an investment in the future.

This summer, we welcomed four university trainees, Tendo Gladys Nampeera, Precious Mbabazi, Patience Kyatuhaire, and Timothy Kawuma Kuteesa, for an intensive internship programme designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world professional practice.

Over the course of the programme, our trainees gained practical exposure across key areas of our work, including:

🔹 Programme audits and reviews
🔹 Fiduciary assurance, compliance, and monitoring
🔹 Organisational capacity assessments and technical assistance
🔹 Public health programmes, research, and report writing
🔹 Business development, knowledge management, and client service

Last month, our team was on the ground in , in partnership with Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations - CEPI, to support the Enable Lassa Research Programme and strengthen systems that power life-saving research to prevent Lassa Fever throughout the region.

From reviewing financial reports for submission readiness, to training teams on new procurement systems, to conducting asset verification as a part of our Fund Management services, we worked to ensure transparency, accountability, and impact for the Program and partners, including the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, the Alex Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki -Aefutha, the FMC Owo - Federal Medical Centre, Owo, and the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.
