Mid-western umbrella of water and Sanitation (mwUws) is one of the six regional umbrellas, established by the Ministry of water and Environment through the Directorate of water Development to directly manage selected gazetted piped water supply systems. MwUws has a mandate to manage, operate and maintain (O&M) water supply systems for their sustainability in the Mid-Western region of Uganda.
Mid - Western of Water and Sanitation manages 70 and supports 59 water supply and sanitation towns/schemes in Mid-western region. The organization started operations in 2007 and has served as a public water utility Company since 2017 to date.
mwUws operates in 16 districts namely; Kyenjojo, Kagadi, Hoima, Kikuube, Kabarole,Bunyangabu,Bundibugyo,Kamwenge,Mubende,Kassanda,Kibaale, Kyegegwa,Kakumiro,Ntoroko and Kasese,Kitagwenda.
MwUws wishes to recruit a Branch manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the water supply system.
Position: BRANCH MANAGER
Reports to: MANAGER
Duty Station: KAGADI
Overall Purpose of the Job:
An organized and detailed oriented personnel to run and manage the day to day activities of the Branch. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth running of the Branch and constant water supply to the water user community.
Key Responsibilities.
• Ensure smooth running of the Branch and constant water supply to the water user community.
• Smooth revenue collections using the different payment platforms.
• Carryout timely repairs.
• Ensure that meter readings of the scheme are taken regularly and collect money from tap/kiosk attendants.
• Collect revenue from water sales (kiosks, private connections and, institutional connections).
