Morning Reflection: “Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by Him deeds are weighed.” (1Samuel 2:3)

After God answered her prayer and opened her womb—following years of enduring the arrogance of her co-wife Peninnah—Hannah sang of the Lord’s justice and wisdom. She reminds us that God is not impressed by proud words or outward appearances; He looks into the heart and rewards each person according to their deeds.

A story is told of two builders tasked with constructing houses for their master. One rushed the work, cutting corners and boasting of his skill. The other worked quietly and carefully, ensuring every detail was solid and true. When the master returned, he rewarded the humble builder with the very house he had built—his work had stood the test. God rewards not our words, but the truth of our hearts and the fruit of our deeds.

So it is with us. God, the Master Builder, knows what lies beneath our thoughts, motives, and actions. He sees beyond our words and weighs the intentions of our hearts. As Scripture says, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows” (Galatians 6:7). What we sow in thought, word, and deed will surely bear fruit. Pride, arrogance, and deceit may shine for a moment, but humility and integrity build a lasting foundation for our lives, families, and ministries.

Prayer: Lord, Jesus, teach us to walk humbly before You and to build our lives with honesty, integrity, and love. May our words be gracious, our actions sincere, and our motives pure in Your sight throught this week. Amen.

Morning reflection: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." (Psalm 23:5-6)

In a King’s cabinet, a minister was falsely accused of plotting to overthrow the kingdom. Lies spread rapidly, turning trusted allies into skeptics. But the King, wise and discerning, did not act on hearsay. He sought the truth through his intelligence services and uncovered the deception.

When all the ministers gathered, expecting the accused minister’s downfall, the King did the unexpected—he honored him and promoted him instead. Before those who sought his ruin, he was lifted up. God had prepared a table in front of his enemies!!

Betrayal and false accusations can be painful, but trusting in God’s justice brings peace. He sees every injustice, and in His perfect timing, He restores and elevates those who remain faithful. Keeping quiet and forgiving your accusers is not weakness—it is strength, freeing the heart from bitterness.

This morning, I pray for you and your household. May the Lord God elevate you to a place of honor and dignity. I ask that He prepares a table for you in the presence of your accusers, and that your cup overflows with blessings, in Jesus' name.

Morning Reflection “Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. He called out to them, ‘Friends, haven’t you any fish?’ ‘No,’ they answered.” (John 21:5)

One day, as the disciples struggled in their labor, Jesus called out to them, “Children, have you caught any fish?” (John 21:5). They had toiled through the night with empty nets, reflecting the struggles we face in life—whether in pursuit of happiness, success, education, or our deepest desires. We labor day and night, yet so often, our efforts leave us frustrated, weary, or even on the verge of giving up.

But Jesus, who is God incarnate, holds the power to bless our labor and multiply our efforts. When He is involved, our burdens become light: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matt 11:28-30). He invites us to work with Him rather than relying solely on our own strength, for it is God who gives us the ability to create wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Sadly, many have been deceived into believing that success can be attained by other means, including manipulation and even witchcraft. In desperation, some believe that they can gain power from lakes and trees to become successful. Yet, such beliefs discredit the true power of God and discourage people from fulfilling their God-given responsibilities to work hard and obey His word.

When Jesus told His disciples to cast the net on the other side, they obeyed—and their nets overflowed with fish (John 21:6). It wasn’t magic, witchcraft, or human effort that brought success, but faithful obedience to Christ’s word.

Dear friends, we are reminded that when we listen to Jesus and obey His guidance, He provides abundantly—just as He did for His disciples. Jesus will bless our efforts far beyond what we can imagine. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33).

Today, I encourage you to rely on Jesus and His power alone. Continue casting your net in faith, knowing that in Christ, we find true abundance, meaning, and success.

Morning Reflection: “All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.” Proverbs 16:2 (NIV).

As we step into a new week and approach the conclusion of Lent, let us take time to reflect on our journey with Christ. In our faith, our service, and our daily endeavors, it is vital to pause and ask: What drives me? Is my heart truly aligned with the will of God, or have subtle distractions—pride, personal gain, or worldly ambition—crept in unnoticed?

The Word reminds us that while our intentions may seem pure to us, God alone discerns the depths of our motives. Our calling is not about accolades, recognition, or earthly rewards—it is about glorifying the Lord and lifting His name high above all else. When we shift our focus away from self and toward Christ, our purpose becomes clearer.

True, lasting impact comes when our drive is centered on worship—on exalting the One who is worthy. We serve not for human praise, but because the Lamb of God deserves the reward of His suffering. The cross was not in vain, and neither should our devotion be.

So let us examine our hearts today. May we strive, not for titles or applause, but to bring glory to the King of Kings. May your love for Christ compel you to do good to others, to bring hope to the broken, and to bear witness to His unfailing goodness.

May this lent season draw you closer to Him, refining your motives so that your work, worship, and witness are rooted in a genuine desire to glorify His name. May your actions be an offering, guided by love and the pursuit of His righteousness. To God be the glory!

Morning Reflection: Forgive our sins, just as we have forgiven those who did wrong to us. (Matt: 6:12)

This morning I want us to reflect on the principle of forgiveness. Jesus asks us to seek forgiveness for our sins while also committing to forgive others. Jesus emphasized that if we don’t forgive others we will not be forgiven. However, forgiveness does not mean forgetting the hurt. Consider James, who struggled after a close friend betrayed his trust. He thought that if he truly forgave her, he wouldn’t remember the pain. Yet, even after saying he forgave her, those memories remained. He learned that healing means not letting those memories control him, as Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13 “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.”

Forgiveness also doesn’t erase painful feelings. James felt hurt, anger, and disappointment just like some of us, but these are natural responses to betrayal. He found healing by talking to a trusted friend about his emotions, reminding us that acknowledging our pain is crucial for the forgiveness process. It’s also essential to realize that forgiveness does not automatically rebuild trust. Even after forgiving his friend, James struggled to trust her again. Trust takes time and consistent effort to restore after it has been broken.

James learned that forgiveness doesn’t guarantee a return to the previous relationship. He and his friend needed to discuss their issues and find new ways to relate. Their friendship evolved into something different but valuable. In all this, James remembered Jesus’ command to forgive those who wrong us, even in painful circumstances.

I invite you to reflect on who you need to forgive and what burdens you are carrying. Forgiveness is not only a gift we give to others but also a path to our own healing and peace. So, let us embrace forgiveness, not just for the sake of others, but for our own hearts, following the example set by Jesus.

Reflection: “Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life…(John 6:68).

Simon Peter response reminds us that in Jesus, we find all we need—hope, healing, and the promise of eternity. The "words of eternal life" Jesus offers have the power to transform lives. They inspire hope in times of despair, lifting our spirits and restoring our morale when life’s challenges feel overwhelming.

These words also bring both emotional and physical healing. For example, the woman suffering from a bleeding condition for twelve years (Mark 5:25-34) was healed when she touched Jesus’ garment in faith. His words, *Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed,” not only brought physical restoration but also affirmed her dignity and strengthened her faith.

May the "words of eternal life" guide you toward reconciliation and recovery in your life. May they bring healing in any of your fractured relationships, lead you to forgive as you have been forgiven, and restore what has been lost or broken in your life, family or business. May these words remind you of God’s boundless grace and love, which can make all things new.

As we reflect on Peter’s declaration this morning, let us remember that there is no other place we can turn for such life-giving truth. Jesus alone holds the words that bring eternal significance, and through Him, we find hope, strength, and healing. May we embrace these words throughout this week, allowing them to renew our hearts, direct our steps, and deepen our faith in our God.

Morning Reflection “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." (Matt 10:39)

Hellena lived with her grandmother in the village of Karema. One day, while gathering firewood in the forest, she lost her way. Fear crept in as she searched for a familiar path but found none. Then, she remembered her grandmother’s advice: “If you are ever lost, listen for the river, and it will guide you home." Calming herself, she focused and soon heard the gentle murmur of water. She followed the sound, drank from the cool stream, and regained her strength. As she walked along the riverbank, a distant flickering light appeared. Drawing closer, she recognized her village and hurried home, where her grandmother welcomed her with joy.

Hellena’s journey reflects a deeper truth. In life, we often lose ourselves in the pursuit of our selfish desires, believing we will get fulfillment. Yet, as Jesus reminds us in Matthew 10:39, it’s in Him alone that we find life. Like Hellena, who surrendered her own plans to follow the river’s guidance, we too must be willing to let go of our selfish plans and ambitions and trust in the Lord’s direction.

As we enter into the weekend, may we ask Jesus to help us surrender our lives completely to Him. For it is only when we lose ourselves in Him that we truly find our way home.
