Ibanda Bodaboda Riders club with the CEO ICON after a meeting on Sunday. Saving 500 shs a day, The club shall provide the following services to its members; Give Bodaboda loans, Driving permits, life Insurance and accumulate income to build their own petrol station. The club will be under the patronage of Dr. Patrick Bitature founder and Patron ICON.

About Ibanda Community Organization Network .

Ibanda Community Organization Network (ICON) is a registered Charity Organization with headquarters in Ibanda District. Founded in December 2019 in a dialogue by Ibanda district stakeholders to provide lasting solutions to the challenges facing Ibanda district.
The stakeholders agreed that despite of the existing teething challenges, the same challenges can be made history if the entire people of Ibanda came together and united to provide solutions as a people. They agreed to come together in an Organisation that was registered as Ibanda Community Organization Network (ICON) at URSB.

Under the patronage of Dr Patrick Bitature , Ibanda Community Organization Network (ICON) envisions to be a leader in community development and unbiased Partner in implementation of strategies to achieve holistic and all inclusive development. Our mission is to Empower communities enhance their wellbeing through Networks, Partnerships, social action, Citizen Participation, Public advocacy, popular education and local service development.
ICON operates in the communities of Ibanda district only. To achieve a holistic and all inclusive development, we serve under the following areas of focus;

1.Mindset Change, Business and entrepreneurship.

2. Agribusiness

3. Health and wellbeing; insurance and mental health.

4. Education

5. Tourism.

All our programs focus on improving income for everyhousehold. The ICON agenda is long term .

3 days 2 nights of Great Africa Cycling Safari (GACs) in Ibanda District trees were planted, Ibanda Equator Trek and Equinox Forest been officially launched. Great thanks to kagiira skills development centre for hosting all of us at their learning Centre for the three days of the events. Great thanks to Ibanda Community Organisation Network (ICON) for mobilising the community to participate in this. Thanks to Dr. Patrick Bitature, Ambrose Ruyooka, David Nuwamanya, Elia Divas, Sylivia Naturinda and Judge Karemani for supporting in all ways to have this activity move on successfully.
