Great Hope Christian School
Located at Nakawa-Butema Village, Muwayo Town Council Bugiri District. The school is the education and child development arm of Great Hope Ministries, not only offering academic education but a holistic support to children, mainly OVCs who could not have had an opportunity to compete with the current world.

GHCS has day and boarding sections, Nursery and primary levels. We are praying to have Secondary school level, vocation training and Christian teachers’ training college. GHCS will also act as a missionary training center for next generation. We have already started formal training of teens, ethics and values in leadership. This training focuses on: Knowing yourself, interpersonal competence, intercultural competence, management leadership basics.
We are currently in our 2nd year of constructing capital structures, as well as putting in place sustainable management system. We still need additional classrooms, boy’s dormitory, Modern running water restrooms, teachers housing.
With the current and prospective financial support from our brothers and sisters in Christ we pray that the building projects be completed quickly so that it attract paying students and thus move to being self-sufficient, self-sustainable and self-supporting within 3-5 years.
Our current needs besides the buildings we want to have
- A bus to transport children from nearby towns and cities,
- Music and sound system
- Desks
- Beds
