$3.6 billion or 94,643.29 bitcoin stemming from the 2016 Bitfinex hack was moved and consolidated into a single wallet following 23 transfers. At the time of writing, the $3.6 billion in bitcoin remains idle and the trading platform Bitfinex says it “continues to work globally with law enforcement agencies” in regard to the matter.

Binance has announced one of its trademark features, the SAFU fund, has reached a milestone in its development. The SAFU fund, an acronym that stands for “Secure Asset Fund for Users,” has reached the amount of one billion dollars, securing the funds of users in case of a hacking emergency. The exchange, which is one of the pioneers in the establishment of such structures, invited other exchanges to also take similar measures.

Finance Ministry of Bulgaria Has No Information About Alleged Bitcoin Stash
The mystery surrounding the 213,576 bitcoins believed to have been seized by Bulgaria has entertained the global crypto community for years and raised questions in the Southeast European nation. Club Z, a local news and analysis outlet, and a member of the parliament, have recently asked three Bulgarian ministries to account for the country’s missing crypto fortune.

In May 2017, the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC) announced that Bulgarian authorities had captured the staggering amount of cryptocurrency in bitcoin wallets owned by suspects targeted in a joint cybercrime investigation in several countries on the Balkans. The operation codenamed “Pratka/Virus” dismantled a scheme to compromise the customs’ computer systems for tax evasion purposes.

Opensea’s New Valuation
One of the leading marketplaces for NFTs globally, Opensea recently confirmed it is acquiring the defi crypto wallet startup Dharma Labs. The acquisition of Dharma Labs for a price thought to be between $110 million and $130 million, comes shortly after Opensea’s successful seed round which saw its value surge to $13.3 billion.

As a result of the new agreement between the two companies, Nadav Hollander, a co-founder at Dharma Labs, will become the new chief technology officer (CTO) at Opensea.
