NMB Bank Plc and the University of Dar es Salaam are expanding opportunities for young talent through a partnership focused on academic excellence and career readiness.

Ten outstanding students from the 2025/2026 academic year received TSh2 million each under the NMB Best Student Awards, bringing the total awards to TSh20 million.

The initiative is part of a partnership that has also supported more than 150 graduates through career-readiness programmes.

Stanbic Bank Tanzania has pledged to finance stakeholders across Tanzania’s coffee value chain as export earnings more than double.

The bank will support farmers, cooperatives, processors and exporters through financing for production, processing, storage and international trade.

Tanzania’s coffee export earnings reached USD 396 million in the year ending July 2026, while the government targets annual production of 300,000 tonnes by 2030.

The initiative aims to increase productivity, promote local value addition and strengthen the competitiveness of Tanzanian coffee in international markets.
