Torlak Family, has established its relationship with industry in the early 1900’s thereby building wooden vessels in Black Sea shores. By passing down its experience, Torlak Shipyard is continuing its service for the maritime industry successfully for over 100 years. The family founded their first company in 1970 at Golden Horn / Istanbul and carried forward their activities there until moving to

its currently located region, Tuzla in 1983. Since 1983, Torlak Shipyard expedited its additional investments and technological developments in Tuzla, where is assigned as new Shipyard Area by the government. The modest start at the beginning of 1980’s has improved rapidly and by the time, Torlak Shipyard climbed into the first places within the preferred shipyards both for the state owned and private owned vessels’ building, repairs and conversions. Ever since the arrival of the floating dock in 2004, Torlak Shipyard has also used its expertise to dock and repair the world’s ships and has spread its experience all over the world. Shipyard is serving for the maritime industry at the highest level with two newbuilding slipways and one of the biggest floating docks in the region. Torlak Shipyard has succesfully constructed and delivered more than 60
newbuilding projects in different types up to now. In Torlak Shipyard; our customers benefit from our close sectoral relations, the dynamism of our young staff and our deep knowledge and experience for over a century. Regardless of any technical detail, within the compass of its capacity, Torlak Shipyard has successfully performed every commercial projects from new building projects and routine repairs to major constructions, repairs and conversions. Torlak Shipyard works around the clock and completes every type of new building, docking, repair and conversion projects on time. Torlak Shipyard committed itself to customer satisfaction, by means of meeting the customers’ demand 100% with the high quality service performance. This is executed by the Quality Management System which is effectively designed and based on international requirements. In recent years, the principle of working with good practices and high quality standards has considerably developed and Torlak Shipyard, which has Quality Certificates of ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001, has ability to build and repair any kind of vessels.

Torlak Tersanesi, Gemi ve Yat İhracatçıları Birliği'nin, Ekonomi Bakanlığı'nca desteklenen "Gemi ve Yat Sektörünün Uluslararası Rekabetçiliğin Geliştirilmesi Projesi" kapsamında, 6-7 Kasım 2012 tarihlerinde Gemi İnşa Sanayicileri Birliği (GİSBİR) Salonu'nda gerçekleştirilen iki günlük eğitim faaliyetine katıldı.

"Uluslararası Gemi ve Yat Pazarları ve Pazarlama” ve "Gemi ve Yat Sektöründe Finansal Risk Yönetimi” ana konularını içeren eğitime sektörümüzden 30'u aşkın firma katılım gösterdi. Projeye dahil olan firmalar, projeye dahil olmak isteyen firmalar ve sadece eğitimden faydalanmak isteyen firmalar eğitime katıldılar.
