UTAA MUN You will be informed about UTAA MUN Conference from this page. We will be hosting over 250 participants. There will be 7 different committees.

The expansion of UTAA-MUN is University of Turkish Aeronautical Association Model United Nations conference. Our preference for future participants is mostly highschool students and we have a limited quota for university students. During this simulation our participants will be finding clever solutions to the current world issues and will bring a new perspective of their own. We are organizing UTA

A-MUN in partnership with Model United Nations Association of Turkey. The conference will be held on 9-11th of June, 2014. We are very excited to host YOU for our first MUN conference in our history.

Under the Charter, the Security Council has primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security. It has 15 Members, and each Member has one vote. Under the Charter, all Member States are obligated to comply with Council decisions.

What is MUN?

Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is a conference similar to the United Nations in which students participate as delegates to various UN Committees. Participants research and formulate political positions based on the actual policies of the countries they represent.

The committees usually consist of the six committees of the General Assembly (or some subset of them), but may also include theEconomic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and the Economic and Financial Committee The participants range from middle school students to graduate school students.

Model United Nations involves researching, public, teamwork, and leadership skills. As of 2012, there are about 400 MUN conferences worldwide.
