Good news this week that the high-speed rail-link dream will finally become a reality as the $7.4 billion deal signed between CP Group and some Chinese has put the plan into the next steps. The track will spread 220km and Pattaya will be one of nine stations. Train speeds will run up to 250km/hr.

This will change Pattaya once again, and sheds light on the current confidence of developers in terms of the longer term outlook for the city!

So it's finally opened...The TERMINAL 21 shopping complex featuring an iconic World Market Street concept, inspired by six famous cities in the world: Paris, London, Italy, Tokyo, San Francisco and Hollywood, with each city’s iconic landmarks. At the entrance, there is an actual airplane on a 250-meter runway by a man-made beach, with a large jet bridge and a 39-meter freestanding escalator, the longest in any shopping center in Thailand.

Since the doors opened it has been rammed with moonlighting shoppers taking non-stop selfies and enjoying the food fare in some of the quite impressive eateries!

Well done to the developers and vendors, truly going to be a huge asset to Pattaya - the never-ending success story.

We remember when the doubters were stating that the growth would stop in Pattaya, that the end had been reached... yet a few years later, the new huge Terminal 21 shopping centre is scheduled to open as is the Cafe del Mar premium beach club venue on Na Jomtien beachfront. Pattaya really does go from strength to strength! Good payback for the investors that believe in this fantastic city!

100,000,000 THB is to be spent by the Ocean Marina management in Pattaya during 2018 improving the yacht berths plus installing 60 new ones. They are expecting around 720 million baht in turnover this year as the sector really starts to gather growth in Pattaya.
