🤝In 2025, partnerships continued to power ADB’s ability to mobilize resources, shape policy and reforms, and prepare projects that will scale impact across Asia and the Pacific.

💰ADB’s partners for its public sector operations collectively committed $4.4 billion across 164 projects while total financing for private investment reached $9.5 billion, and long-term direct private capital mobilization rose to $4.7 billion.

🛣️ โครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่มีภูมิคุ้มกันต่อสภาพภูมิอากาศ — เอดีบีลงนามในสัญญาเงินกู้เพื่อพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่เชื่อมต่อกับสนามบินอู่ตะเภาในเขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออกซึ่งส่งเสริมความยั่งยืน การเชื่อมโยงระดับภูมิภาค และเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศในระยะยาว

⚡ พลังงานสะอาด — เอดีบีสนับสนุนโครงการดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์สีเขียว ระบบพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์และกักเก็บพลังงาน รวมถึงโครงการเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน สะท้อนการเปลี่ยนผ่านของไทยสู่พลังงานสะอาดและเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล

🤝 การเงินเพื่อความยั่งยืน — เอดีบีให้เงินกู้เพื่อสังคมซึ่งช่วยเพิ่มการเข้าถึงแหล่งเงินทุนของผู้หญิงในชุมชนชนบท และให้เงินกู้สีน้ำเงินเพื่อสนับสนุนการเพาะเลี้ยงกุ้งอย่างยั่งยืน รวมทั้งเสริมศักยภาพการแข่งขันของไทยในตลาดโลก

🏗️ ด้านการดำเนินงานใหม่ — เอดีบีขยายความร่วมมือสู่ด้านการจัดการความเสี่ยงน้ำท่วม ธุรกิจ SMEs คุณภาพอากาศ อาชีวศึกษา ระบบสาธารณสุข และความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพทางทะเล

💡 งานด้านองค์ความรู้ — เอดีบีจัดการอบรมมากกว่า 21 ครั้ง ผลิตวิดีโอ 11 ชิ้น และเผยแพร่องค์ความรู้ด้านเมืองฟองน้ำ การรับมือกับปัญหาความร้อนจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ และแนวทางแก้ปัญหาโดยอาศัยธรรมชาติเป็นฐานในประเทศไทย นอกจากนี้เอดีบียังมีการสนับสนุนนวัตกรรมการเงินใหม่ๆ เช่น การออกพันธบัตรเพื่ออนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม (Green, Social, Sustainability Bonds) และตราสารหนี้เพื่อท้องทะเล (Blue Bond) รวมทั้งมีการสนับสนุนงานด้านยานยนต์พลังงานไฟฟ้า และความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ

🌏 ADB committed $462.53 million to Thailand in 2025, including $68.74 million in public sector loans, $320.64 million in private sector loans, $5.19 million in technical assistance, and $67.96 million for trade and supply chain support focused on advancing resilient infrastructure, renewable energy, sustainable finance, and climate-focused investments.

Key Highlights from ADB Thailand in 2025:

🛣️ Resilient connectivity infrastructure – ADB signed a loan to fund resilient infrastructure connecting U-Tapao Airport in the Easten Economic Corridor, advancing sustainability, regional connectivity, and long-term competitiveness for the country.

⚡ Clean energy push — ADB backed a green data center, a solar & energy storage project, and a circular economy initiative, all underscoring Thailand’s accelerating shift toward clean energy generation and the expansion of its digital economy.

🤝 Sustainable finance — A social loan expands women's access to finance in rural communities. A blue loan promotes responsible shrimp sourcing, boosting Thailand's competitiveness in global markets.

🏗️ New areas of work — ADB is entering new sectors in Thailand including flood risk management, SMEs, air quality, technical and vocational education, resilient health systems, and marine biodiversity.

💡Knowledge work - ADB conducted over 21 workshops, and produced 11 videos, and disseminated knowledge on sponge city approaches, heat stress, and nature-based solutions in Thailand. In addition, ADB supported innovative financing instruments such as the Green, Social, and Sustainability Bonds and Blue Bonds, as well as initiatives promoting electric mobility and biodiversity conservation.

🤝เมื่อวันที่ 12 พฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา เอดีบีจัดการประชุมเตรียมการจัดทำแผนความร่วมมือด้านโครงการเงินกู้และความช่วยเหลือทางวิชาการระหว่างประเทศไทยและเอดีบีเพื่อเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือด้านความพร้อม ความยืดหยุ่น และการลงทุนเพื่อการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่อนาคตอย่างยั่งยืน ณ กรุงเทพฯ

📈การประชุมดังกล่าวมีผู้เข้าร่วมประมาณ 100 คน จาก 27 หน่วยงานภาครัฐเข้าร่วมหารือและกำหนดทิศทางการพัฒนาของประเทศไทยให้สอดคล้องกับการสนับสนุนของเอดีบี ท่ามกลางข้อจำกัดด้านการคลัง ความผันผวนของตลาดพลังงาน และความเสี่ยงจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เพิ่มขึ้น

🌏การหารือครอบคลุมทั้งด้านนโยบายเชิงยุทธศาสตร์และความพร้อมในการดำเนินงาน โดยมุ่งเน้นการเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน ความยืดหยุ่น การพัฒนาทุนมนุษย์ การปรับตัวต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ และเครื่องมือทางการเงินรูปแบบใหม่ เช่น กลไกการเงินสำรองล่วงหน้าเพื่อรับมือภัยพิบัติ (Contingent Disaster Financing) ซึ่งช่วยเสริมความพร้อมของประเทศในการรับมือภัยพิบัติ พร้อมรักษาวินัยทางการคลัง
🤝On 12 May, ADB organized the 2026 Country Operations Mission Kick-Off Meeting in Bangkok to strengthen partnership on readiness, resilience, and transformative investment.

📈The meeting, with around 100 participants, including representatives from 27 government agencies, provided a platform to align Thailand’s development priorities with ADB’s support amid tightening fiscal space, ongoing energy market pressures, and increasing climate risks.

🌏Discussions covered strategic policy direction and implementation readiness focusing on competitiveness, resilience, human capital, climate adaptation, and innovative financing instruments including Contingent Disaster Financing which aims at strengthening country’s preparedness while remaining mindful of fiscal constraints.

ADB is mobilizing $50 billion by 2035 to connect Asia's power grids, lower energy costs, and expand clean energy trade.

The Pan-Asia Power Grid Initiative, designed to accelerate cross border power trade, aims to:

🔸 Connect 22,000 km of transmission lines
🔸 Expand energy access for 200 million people
🔸 Create 840,000 jobs

💰เอดีบีจะสนับสนุนเงินลงทุนมูลค่า 7 หมื่นล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ ในการลงทุนด้านโครงสร้างพลังงานและดิจิทัลใหม่

Connected energy and digital grids will drive growth across Asia and the Pacific in coming decades.

President Masato Kanda placed ADB firmly at the center of that dynamic today by announcing the $50 billion Pan-Asia Power Grid and the $20 billion Asia-Pacific Digital Highway.
