Sometimes, choosing the cheaper option can end up costing you twice as much.
Six months ago, my client applied for health insurance with AIA, and the application was approved with coverage. However, the client decided not to proceed because they felt healthy and believed insurance was not necessary yet.
Yesterday, the client contacted me again and asked for my help to reapply with AIA.
In the meantime, the client had applied for a cheaper insurance plan with another company. The insurance company requested a medical examination, and the results showed high cholesterol and hypertension. Unfortunately, the application was declined.
What made the situation more difficult was that the agent was new and did not follow up or provide further assistance. The client was simply told to contact the insurance company directly.
This is an important reminder:
Insurance is not only about finding the cheapest premium. It is about getting the right coverage while you are still insurable — and having an experienced agent who will be there when you need help.
Sometimes, saving a little today can cost you much more tomorrow.
**Your health can change. Your insurability can change. Don’t wait until you need insurance
