Last week Friday, 27 March 2026, the ESE had the pleasure of interacting with High School students from the Lubombo Region. We discussed how companies raise capital on the ESE (primary market) and how they can then invest in the listed companies (secondary market). We also discussed how different securities work and their pros and cons. As the ESE, we believe this financial literacy will encourage the students to consider investing in ESE listed companies/instruments in the future.

This festive season, the Eswatini Stock Exchange urges all investors to stay vigilant:

🔴 Unsolicited calls, WhatsApp messages, or social-media tips promising quick riches? Hang up. Delete. Block.
🔴 Pressure to “invest now before the opportunity disappears”? That’s a red flag, not a green light.
🔴 Unlicensed individuals or companies offering “exclusive” festive deals? They are NOT authorised by the ESE.

Your safety checklist before any investment:
--Verify that the broker or firm is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) and registered with the ESE.
--Never share your trading account details or passwords.
--Double-check website URLs – scammers create fake sites that look almost identical.
