If someone says any of these, be careful:

❌ “Pay upfront fee first, then we approve”
❌ “Send your Singpass / OTP”
❌ “We guarantee approval, no documents needed”
❌ “Fast loan but must transfer money first”

✅ A proper lender should explain clearly:
• interest rate
• repayment amount
• due dates
• late fees (if any)

Stay safe — it’s better to ask 3 times than get cheated once.

Between January and May 2025, more than 375 loan scam cases were reported, with losses totaling over $2.4 million!

Scammers are targeting the public through short video clips or online ads promoting "fast cash loans". Many victims are tricked into providing personal details or paying upfront fees.

✅ Stay alert.
✅ Never provide your SingPass, NRIC, or bank details.
✅ Always verify moneylenders through the Ministry of Law's licensed list.

They promise quick cash but charge sky-high interest, and even when you think you've paid it all back, they may lie and say you still owe money. 💰
Worse still, they resort to threats, harassment, and illegal acts. 😡

✅ If you really need a loan, go to a licensed moneylender – safe, legal, and transparent.

Beware of scammers pretending to be licensed moneylenders!

A real licensed moneylender will never ask for upfront payment, only contact you through WhatsApp/Telegram, or avoid meeting you in person.

Always verify their license before proceeding with any loan.
You can check the official list of licensed moneylenders on the Ministry of Law website here:
