I almost backed out.⁣

After the dry run last Thurs, I was told I wasn’t engaging. ⁣
⁣
That I sounded monotonous. 😓⁣

Honestly, I regretted volunteering to speak for my branch's Chinese estate planning seminar.⁣
⁣
But I didn’t want to give up — not when I signed up to grow! ⁣
⁣
Not when my dad was attending his first ever seminar to support me (𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘦, 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵).⁣
⁣
With help from my director, I revamped the whole deck over 2 sleepless nights. ⁣
⁣
And on the actual day…⁣
⁣
Something clicked.⁣
⁣
✅ I found my rhythm⁣
✅ The nerves faded⁣
✅ I delivered with confidence⁣
⁣
Best of all? ⁣

My colleagues said it was like watching a completely different person.⁣

🎢 Investment: The MRT Ride of Life 🎢

Ah, investment. It's like taking the MRT during peak hours. You jump on, hoping for a smooth journey, but sometimes you end up squished between Auntie with her oversized shopping bags and Uncle who insists on playing his YouTube videos on full blast. 😂

When I first started investing, I thought I was headed straight for the financial Marina Bay Sands. Turns out, I was more like the Circle Line—going round and round, occasionally getting lost in the tunnels. 🚇

But here’s the thing: much like our trusty MRT, investments have their ups and downs. Sometimes, you're cruising along with a seat to yourself, and other times, you're holding on for dear life, praying to survive the ride.

I've learned to embrace the chaos, just like how we’ve all accepted the occasional train delay announcement. "Attention passengers, your investment will be delayed due to unforeseen market conditions. We apologize for the inconvenience." 😅

So, if you're feeling a bit like a sardine in your investment journey, remember to enjoy the ride, keep your eyes on the destination, and maybe pack a snack for the journey. 🍌

We just celebrated a simple birthday lunch with my downline — nothing fancy, just our usual way of appreciating teammates.

But this time, it came with a twist: she achieved her biggest premium closed ever.

Just months ago, she joined us from a firm where she felt lost and unsupported.

What changed?

She listens, learns, and executes without second-guessing.

We prep together before client meetings — no one left to "die their own death" (you know what I mean).

The team genuinely supports one another.

Her proudest moment? Bragging to her ex-teammate... who is now also part of our team.

Had quite an experience at my army health checkup today. 😅⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The usual routine – weight, eye test, blood test, you name it. This time, though, there was a bit of a twist.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So there I was, all set for my blood test, and R seemed a bit nervous. It turns out he was very new at this. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I asked if I was his "first", he shared that I was his "second". That didn't quite help because I’m not a fan of needles 😬⁣⁣
⁣⁣
He started on my left arm but couldn’t get any blood. We switched to the right arm, and after some coaching from his two mentors, we finally saw blood. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
However, it was not quite like it should have been because it dripped onto my hand instead of filling the tube initially.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Through it all, I kept reminding myself to stay calm. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I reassured him as much as I could, even though I was a bit worried. It reminded me a lot of my financial planning journey when I first started. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Sometimes, I doubt myself, but I try to stay confident and calm. 😊⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Having great mentors and the right team is key. Just like him, I've been fortunate to have amazing mentors guide me. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
