Shaping Future InsurTech Talent with SRM University

Now in its third year, the collaboration between JA Assure Pte. Ltd. and SRM Institute of Science and Technology continues to bridge academia and industry through real-world InsurTech exposure.

From the recent batch, 11 students were awarded Certificates of Excellence for their outstanding contributions in tackling industry-relevant challenges.

What makes this initiative impactful is the hands-on mentorship — with JA ASSURE teams actively guiding, supporting, and working alongside students to drive meaningful outcomes.

With participation from students across India, the program continues to strengthen its footprint within the academic ecosystem while building a strong pipeline of future InsurTech talent.

Gold Without Borders

Great conversations, strong connections, and an energising few days at Malaysia Gold Conference 2026, held on 2–3 February at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur.

We had the pleasure of reconnecting with many of our existing clients and meeting a diverse group of international delegates, particularly from Southeast Asia and the GCC, alongside participants from across the wider global gold ecosystem. From refiners and bullion traders to jewellers, banks, exchanges and logistics providers, the breadth of engagement reflected the truly cross-border nature of the industry.

As a Lloyd’s Coverholder, JA Assure was proud to support the conference and contribute to conversations around risk, protection and long-term resilience within the precious metals sector.

Moving Towards the New Horizon

JA Assure was honoured to attend the Chubb Insurance Year-End 2025 Awards Event on 12 January 2026. It was a meaningful evening of reflection, appreciation, and celebration of the hard work across the industry.

We’re grateful and proud to share that JA ASSURE was named 2nd Runner-Up in the 2025 Top Producer category. This recognition belongs to our entire team. Their consistency, teamwork, and commitment are what made this possible.

The event also gave us a clearer view of CHUBB’s direction for 2026, with a strong emphasis on growth, capability building, and long-term partnerships. It’s encouraging to work alongside a partner that is focused not just on results, but on doing things the right way.

We also appreciated the opportunity to connect with CHUBB’s leadership, including CEO John and COO Kenny Tan, leaders whose humility and clarity of vision truly stand out.

As we move forward under the theme “MOVING TOWARDS THE NEW HORIZON,” we look ahead with optimism, ready to grow, learn, and achieve more together in 2026.

Strengthening Innovation Through Collaboration 🤝

We’re excited to share highlights from the recent agreement signing between JA Assure and SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India — a key step forward in advancing cross-border research and technology collaboration.

This partnership establishes a joint Insurtech laboratory focused on AI, data-driven risk analysis, and digital asset protection, where innovation meets real-world application.

💡 The Lab Setup
A dedicated server lab has been set up for SRM students to:
- Deploy JA Assure applications
- Run Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Drive joint innovation and experimentation

This initiative aims to enhance student engagement, boost JA Assure’s brand visibility, and foster mutual growth through shared innovation.

Some exciting projects already underway include:

Hackathon 2025 at SRM University

Ja Assure had the privilege of hosting an exciting hackathon where brilliant student innovators took on a challenging real-world problem statement:

“3D Jewellery & Fine Art Digital Twin Builder for Asset Authentication and Verification.”

Held on 11th & 12th of Aug 2025, teams worked end-to-end—from converting real-world images into precise 3D digital twins to ensuring integrity with cryptographic techniques. Now in its third year running, this collaboration continues to raise the bar, turning classroom learning into real-world InsurTech impact.

The student participants amazed us with their creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving mindset, bringing practical ideas for authentication, provenance, and claims verification in jewellery and fine art.

We evaluated projects on technical depth, security rigor, usability, and real-world relevance. The finalists impressed us with clear demos and thoughtful implementation.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants. A big thank-you to SRM University faculty and mentors for the guidance and support throughout. We look forward to building on these ideas with internships, PoCs, and future collaborations.

JA Assure successfully participated in the Malaysia Gold & Jewellery Trade Exhibition 2025, held from 9–11 May at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang. Organized by PWGS, the event brought together key stakeholders from across the gold and jewellery industry.

As a trusted provider of Jewellers Block Insurance, our team had the opportunity to connect directly with jewellers, wholesalers, manufacturers, logistics partners, equipment suppliers, and financial service providers alongside meaningful engagements with existing clients.

The exhibition proved to be a highly effective platform for brand visibility, collaboration, and business growth. A sincere thank you to PWGS for organizing a well-executed and impactful event!

On January 16, 2025, the CHUBB Agency Kick Off 2025 proved to be more than just an event—it was an experience! Thoughtfully designed with cool activities to keep partners engaged and energized, the room was filled with a positive vibe that made every moment unforgettable.

The day culminated in a spectacular awards ceremony, where achievements across the board were celebrated, followed by a delightful Chinese New Year dinner that brought everyone together in the spirit of festivity and unity.
