Don't assume that just because your company has you insured, you can completely rely on it. It may seem like an additional expense to pay for personal insurance when it's provided for you by your company, but that doesn't mean it's comprehensive enough.

Getting your own provides you with uninterrupted cover when you're transiting to a new company. If you already have pre-existing conditions, your new company's insurance may not insure you too.
Make sure you get yourself covered on your own terms! 💯

Sum Insured:
- INCREASED from $46k to $70k till age 60
- NEW: $55k between age 60 to 65

FROM next April, Central Provident Fund (CPF) members under the Dependants' Protection Scheme (DPS) will get a higher sum assured of S$70,000, up from S$46,000 at "more attractive premiums", CPF said in a press statement on Friday. Read more at The Business Times.
