Shared about why I started my social media journey.
Introverted me, speaking on a stage to fellow MDRTs, scared out of my wits.
I like certain finfluencers but there are also some who try to beat us down. So I decided. I should learn the best skills from them and have a voice too.
As much as there are good ones, there are people who speak irresponsibly and should be simplified for the masses like us and education can start from us too.
I have met the most amazing people in MDRT conference Sydney and truly, it is the trust that compounds
I’m not the smartest of the lot, I’m not the most fluent of the lot. But I decided to make myself available online and to be that trusted person to journey with my clients.

One conversation caught me off guard. I offered something I genuinely thought was meaningful — the reply was: “You don’t have an offer.”

Stung a little, not gonna lie. Felt like a small punch to the face.

Then it hit me — I’m already stretched thin. I didn’t owe an offer for something that was never asked for, and never respected either.

Turns out, it was a good lesson. On boundaries. On self-respect — for myself.

Because if you know me, you know I’m a genuinely busy woman. I already wish I had 48 hours in a day. I have to stop piling things on and offering — especially when what I give freely gets treated like something people get to pick and choose, like I have to market myself just to be considered.

How I spend my time is my choice.
How I give, is my choice.
Walking away when it’s not valued? Also my choice.

This post is for someone, who like me, needs to know that self respect is rendered only when we respect ourselves and our times.

I found myself in this room: everyone in it had already proven “I can” — with their production numbers. Yet the moment something new was asked, they insisted they couldn’t.

Learning is supposed to stretch you. So why does the whole room flinch the second it does?

Days earlier, I’d sat in a different room. Higher bar — TOT and COT achievers. Same kind of challenge. This time: not one “I can’t.” Just pens moving, questions firing.

Same challenge. Two rooms. Two completely different outcomes. I’ve sat in both.

Here’s what I’ve come to believe: “I can’t” was never a report on your skill. It’s a reflex to protect the version of you that’s about to expire.

It sounds like identity — “this isn’t who I am.” It isn’t. That’s fear, and stubborn thinking, dressed up as “it’s not me.” You were always meant to fly higher. Fear is just what’s capping it.

Next time you catch yourself saying “I can’t” before you’ve even tried — remember this, and try “Let me try. I’ll make it happen” instead.

The ceiling was never talent. It’s the room you choose to walk into.

Which room are you in today?

She was smart & eloquent. Yet I rejected her.
Here’s the part most people miss about interviews: you’re not just being chosen — you’re choosing too. Swipe for the story.

Save this for the next negotiation — yours, or someone else’s. And if you’re honest: which one have you been?

If you read this and recognized yourself as someone who gives first, that’s the only qualification I’ve ever cared about.
My door’s open and I’m happy for a chat.

She didn’t lose a single dollar. Here’s why.

Client sold her funds — payout was due 13 Aug. By the 14th, nothing.
Turns out the platform missed her instructions. Not her fault. Not mine. But she was the one stuck waiting.

I could’ve smoothed it over and moved on.

Instead I told my platform partners: not good enough.
Result: price protection (their delay couldn’t cost her money) + compensation for the stress.

She didn’t just stay. She invested more.

Loyalty isn’t built overnight. It’s built in the moments you fight for someone when you didn’t have to.

Save this if you want an adviser — or want to be one — who does this.

Allowance Diaries: Part 1 of 6
My 10-year-old had enough saved for Burger King.
She ordered $2.70 kaya toast instead.
Nobody told her to. I didn’t even suggest it — she just did the math in her head and picked the toast.
That’s when it hit me: we spend years teaching kids to earn money. We almost never teach them what to do with it once they have it.
So over years we built a small system around two questions she now asks before every purchase.
Not a lecture. Just practice, over and over, until it became instinct.
Swipe for how it started

And if there’s a parent in your life who needs to see this one, send it to them.
That’s usually how the good stuff spreads.

True Trustee Story: I told her: stop thinking of it as one pot of money. Think of it as three buckets.

When she saw the inheritance as one big, scary lump, every decision felt like all-or-nothing.

So we broke it into three:
The Liquidity Bucket - accessible and stable. For anything needed sooner, and for the unexpected. This bucket lets her sleep at night.
The Growth Bucket - the engine. Built for the ten-year horizon, designed to outpace that silent thief we talked about, so the inheritance actually grows in real terms.

The Legacy Bucket - the protected core. Structured for the long game and for passing on intact, shielded and intentional. Because generational wealth prosperity can always start with her nephew.

Suddenly the money wasn’t one overwhelming responsibility. It was three jobs, each with a clear purpose. Clarity replaced fear.

Here’s how I helped— listened in to her fears and desires and structured a clear and simple plan that propelled her duties forward.

Comment BUCKETS and I’ll DM you the one page framework.

Her brother didn’t leave her a museum piece to keep behind glass. He left her seeds.
There’s a quiet difference between storing money and stewarding it. Storing says: keep it exactly as it is, hand it back untouched. Stewarding says: care for it, grow it responsibly, and return something greater than you were given.
But growth without guardrails isn’t stewardship — it’s gambling with a child’s inheritance. So we built a plan to grow without betting his future on any single outcome: risk that fits the timeline, discipline that fits the responsibility.
Stewardship = growth + guardrails. That’s the whole philosophy. (The old parable of the talents put it plainly — the servant who was praised wasn’t the one who buried what he was given.)
Are you storing, or stewarding?

Save this. Tomorrow: the simplest framework I gave her — three buckets.
