I am both humbled and grateful to receive the FA Quality Class - Merit 2022 award - my 10th in as many years with Financial Alliance.
It’s been a long 10-year journey thus far with Financial Alliance, with its fair share of ups and downs, having left my comfort zone in banking and embracing the uncertainty that comes being in the financial advisory industry.
The past year has been an exceptionally difficult time for me as I grappled with battles on many fronts, especially in terms of my health, while juggling my business. That is why despite having 9 other similar trophies in my collection, this year’s award is particularly precious and meaningful, given the headwinds and adversity I’ve had to brave.
I wouldn’t have been able to pull this off without the support of my very collaborative and understanding clients. I am tremendously blessed with such good clients who have continously provided referrals and positive testimonies such that I did not have to make a single cold-call from day one of my financial advisory career.
That said, awards have never been my focus. In fact, I rarely look at the numbers. To me, these are by-products of the trust that my clients have placed in me, and the relentless search for tools and technologies that enhance my efficiency and productivity, allowing me to focus my energies on activities that serve and represent the interests of my clients.
I’m very thankful for the company’s excellent investment & insurance support and IT infrastructure, the latter which has enabled me to serve my clients non-face-to-face whenever I was confined either due to COVID-19 or during the numerous medical treatment sessions. Skeptics have questioned whether the use of technology strips away the human touch in our role as a trusted financial adviser. As an advocate of digital financial advisory practices, I’d say high-tech and high-touch goes hand in hand in the environment we operate in today. For me, it’s a delicate balance where the right usage of the appropriate technologies with the right customers creates better synergies and win-win outcomes. Nothing could be a better testament to this than the results and experiences I’ve reaped while navigating a very challenging 2021.
Reflections and inflections aside, I am still hopeful and positive about the road ahead. I am looking forward to work with and serve more people who could benefit from an unbiased, customer-centric digital financial advisory partner in 2022 and beyond.
