Audit committees are meant to protect investors. But what if they cannot see how the audit is really delivered?
From chaotic resourcing to “cultural fit” appointments, much of the audit process remains a black box. Without clear engagement metrics, oversight risks becoming assumption, not evidence.
For regulators and auditors, the question is simple: Are we equipping audit committees with the transparency they need to act early and decisively?
If we want market integrity, we need visibility, not reassurance.
