Hence closes the 4th annual convention I’ve qualified for.

Our October adventure brings us to Italy and Iceland this time, with Iceland being the spot where the AIA convention was held.

Starting off the journey with Italy first, we were surprised with cheaper food than expected, and then also decent weather, a bit hot, and not too cold. Still miss our first Airbnb and the 9 degree mornings. For my friends that know me well, I am more of an eat-to-survive kind of person, but Italy’s food is really top tier. The experience is also what matters. They take their food very seriously!

then on to Iceland, which was so cold but another unreal experience, baking bread underground, going into caves made from lava that cooled down, driving on icy roads and staying at farms. Miss the horses!

Since travel opened up in 2022, I have gone to 19 states/cities and 10 countries : most of which have been part of the company programme and sponsored.

I would like to thank my mother .yu for giving birth to me, my father for equipping me with the capability, the clients who believed in me, and the top achievers who gave me a bar to measure myself on.

I started this job at 23, fresh out of army and in the 1st year of Uni. Now, at 27, the sky is the limit, and maybe you DO have the capability too. if you wanted to try.

talk to me , 9723 8473. I’m a very normal person, I’m not even the best, and if I can do it, imagine what you can do.

It’s funny when people say ā€œFailure is not an option.ā€

Failure, is the most readily available option there is.

When you feel down in the dumps, when you want to quit, just quit. Give up for today. But be aware of the cancer you are letting into your body. One day becomes a week, one week becomes a month, and one month becomes your entire life.

But when you quit, remember this. You are proving everyone right.

When you went into this new venture
- Your ā€œfriendsā€ met with you just to make fun of you.
- Your prospects didn’t support you because they didn’t believe you would last.
- Your acquaintances looked at you and projected their insecurities on you.

Still, you grit your teeth, and embraced everything.

But when you quit, you not only let the people who believed in you down, when you fail, you prove those people right. They were right all along.

And I refuse to give them that satisfaction.

Happy Midweek everyone šŸ™‚ ā˜ŗļø

The hardest part
In any job, in any venture is consistency.

So many people have come in guns blazing, strong for 1 year, maybe 2 years, and then suffered from burnout, not being able to achieve the same thing again. They are never the same. Some even quit.

The man who loves walking will walk further than the man who loves the destination.

The hardest part is having a hard day, and then be willing to do it again the next day. Day after day. Month after month. Year after year.

And that’s why you have to love the process, not the end goal.

There are two types of suffering. Chosen & Unchosen.

Unchosen suffering is going to happen in life. Your parents will pass on, you will get sick, maybe even face news one day that you will not be physically fit to do the things you love anymore.

Things are going to happen, that you have absolutely NO control over. And the only way you can prepare yourself is by CHOSEN suffering. Doing the hard things. Waking up early, putting extra effort in your work.

Find comfort in thinking : 99% of people would have quit right now if they were in my shoes, but that’s why I’ll win.

And by purposefully choosing difficult things you will arm yourself against that situation. It’s still going to suck, but imagine how much more fragile you would be if you DIDN’T do it.

ā€œ2023 WILL BE MY YEAR!!ā€

This is what you always see on Instagram, or declared in real life.

But then it barely works out for anyone that uses this phrase. Good intention, but almost impossible to execute.

It’s just that 1 year, 12 months or 365 days is way too long for someone to stay focused. You can take one bad day, but a bad day everyday for the next few months? The human psyche is negative, and it will break you. This is why new year resolutions are not met, goals are not hit.

Focus on this week, this day, this hour. Instead of owning the year, own the day. Own 20th March 2023 0800-0900. And the next hour. And the next . And the next.

Is what you are doing now the best possible use of your time? If not, are you okay with the penalties that will happen due to your inaction.

If life could be broken down to a mathematical equation, the person who puts himself in front of more opportunities will, with the highest probability, simply walk away achieving more.

Consistency beats Intensity, every time.

Started his first 6 months with nearly 0 cases.

Ended his first full financial year with nearly 100 cases, and stepped into MDRT territory.

Congrats bro, and remember that now you’re part of the few who dared to try more than the rest, failed more than the rest, and that’s why you will attain more than the rest. Fly the flag high because this is not just a one time thing, it’s a yearly one.

Very impressive and awe inspiring.

Being a fresh grad and qualifying for MDRT in our career will put someone at a major advantage career wise, on par or surpassing those who come from established schools and just below the income of the elite local graduates that manage to work for FAANG companies.

If you’re looking for a career which will demand your best, bring out the monster in you, or you just want to find out how he did it, DM me!

Take the red pill with me and we can see how far the rabbit hole goes ;)

I’m hiring!!

I always pack my own calendars at the end of the year.

Not because I like to torture myself, but more because I take this time to reflect on my year, and how it could have been better, and to also acknowledge growth (if there happens to be any).

Looking back, this is the year I actually travelled anywhere ; the previous 2 years , travel was limited, and naturally, I’m not so much of a big travel buff anyway. And I would not have chosen these locations and definitely not for so long if not for AIA and some amazing friends that made this possible. You know who you are!

This year, I’ve went to :
- New York, Boston (MDRT Conference)
- Amsterdam Convention (Bruges, Gent, Brussels, Rotterdam, Bordeaux, Paris)
- Hanoi Achievers Convention
- Penang
- JB

Mostly due to work and/or to learn from people that are way stronger than me. This world is big and our potential is limitless, if only we dare to try.

This year also saw me getting back into my past hobbies, which is amazing, but also realising there’s a whole other opportunity cost when committing to be great at something outside of work. It’s sobering and yes, we pick our battles.

Lastly, would like to thank my boo and my great friends who have been here since the start, and those people that bring me up and make me want to strive and improve!

9 days to 2023, wish everyone to fully capitalise on whatever time you have left, and let’s march onward!

LFG,
spicyramen, xoxo

imagine this scenario.

You meet someone through an event that’s 10 years younger than you. Just from a quick conversation you find out that they are smart, resourceful and quick-witted. You can sense their drive, and they have laser focus on their goal.

You feel poignant because back in your day, that’s what people used to describe you as. However, along the way, you fell from grace, you hit a bad rut and lost steam, never to achieve the same heights in your career again. Now, you’re just a shadow of your former self and this young energetic newbie reminds you of yourself back then.

Sounds scary? A lot of people tell me that being in your 20s is young, but I beg to differ. Being 20+ is NOT the time to be playing.

If you could see yourself 10 years from now, what will he look like?

What will his mindset be?

What would he have achieved?

Would he still be struggling on finding a purpose?

Are you Andrew Tate yet?

All important questions.

My best scenario is that I would have figured everything out by then.

(If you want a job that feels like a game, we’re hiring too! DM me okie)
