Throughout the exhibition, guests had the opportunity to meet Ma and gain deeper insight into his creative process.

Using a Leica Q camera as part of his artistic practice, Ma photographs horses in their natural environment, capturing fleeting moments of movement and energy that later serve as the foundation for his large-scale oil paintings.

"This exhibition has been more than an art showcase, it reflects our vision for Leica Store South Beach Quarter as a cultural destination where photography, art, and creative dialogue come together," said Sunil Kaul, Managing Director of Leica Camera Asia Pacific.

Leica Store South Beach Quarter was transformed into a contemporary gallery space, featuring works from Ma's renowned Blue Fire Horse series.

A key highlight was Registered Kiss, Ma's reinterpretation of Alfred Eisenstaedt's iconic 1945 photograph V-J Day in Times Square, which was presented in Singapore for the first time.

Also featured was a striking painting of Lee Kuan Yew, the Founder of Modern Singapore and Galloping Horse; both are client-owned and open to offers.

World-renowned Chinese contemporary artist Ma Dongmin's famous Blue Horse Series paintings have arrived at the secure storage facility Le Freeport Singapore, ahead of his major solo exhibition presented by Art Vault Asia at Leica Camera Singapore (South Beach Quarter) this weekend!

Very few ticketed time slots remain for this Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June from 10am - 5pm. For those attending between 2pm and 4pm you will have the chance to meet Ma Dongmin in person!
