3 years ago, I met Ms Lew at Chong Pang City. Thereafter she introduced me to her circle of friends at Chong Pang. She’s retiring next year and I had the chance to help her with her retirement. (It was mostly her helping me)😊

I haven’t been living in the Nee Soon area for too long. But ever since I met the folks at Chong Pang. Nee Soon is actually much better than as portrayed by the mainstream/social media. It’s full of caring people and they have known each other for many many years. In the past 3 years, I could feel the kampong spirit by just merely visiting her shop once in awhile. I remember Ang Gu Kueh,crocodile 🐊 brand polo tees worn by the uncles, charging my phone for free at the handphone repair shop next door, the inflation-free Soy Bean Milk right at the corner of the Hawker Centre.

We all know that Chong Pang is having a makeover in the coming years. The friendly neighbourhood will be missed~
