Född på Bauma. Återfödd i Profile Store.

Efter Bauma-mässan hade Epirocs banderoller gjort sitt, men deras fulla potential var långt ifrån förbrukad.

I stället för att slängas omvandlades 241 kvadratmeter material till en limiterad kollektion av väskor och accessoarer.

Allt tillverkat för hand i ett socialt sömnadskooperativ i Nederländerna, ett initiativ som också skapade 172 timmar av inkluderande sysselsättning.

Det här är produkter som berättar en historia, om minskat avfall, genomtänkt design och verkligt socialt värde.

Resultatet är nu en del av Epirocs Profile Store: en noggrant utvald kollektion där varje artikel speglar företagets värderingar.

Ett projekt som visar att stark branding kan gå hand i hand med både miljömässig och social påverkan.

Laptopfodral, mobilväska och passfodral – allt tillverkat av äppelläder, ett material gjort på restprodukter från fruktindustrin.

Tailoring items for a more personal brand story

Every now and then, we receive special orders from our customers outside of the assortment in the online store we provide for their brand – and it’s not due to gaps in the product portfolio. It’s because these customers understand that by customizing branded items, they can tell their story without restrictions or compromises. Used this way, branded items become a significant and dynamic asset not just externally, but internally as well.

Many of our customers know how to harness this power by tailoring items to match company and department event calendars. Depending on the occasion, its location, and not least, the employees themselves, each event is supported by or even centered around relevant products. For example, one customer ordered customized soccer balls for a cross-department soccer tournament. Another needed fleece sweaters made from recycled materials for a three-day breakout event with outdoor activities and workshops on the company’s own sustainability goals.

Others have used specially ordered items as personalized tokens of appreciation for exceptional achievements. Ranging from scale models of industrial machines for the engineers involved in creating them, to engraved cut-glass trophies handed out to the winners at internal award ceremonies – these products represent and nourish a company culture where individual contributions are valued, recognized, and remembered.

What eco-conscious branding means in 2023 💚

The time where any brand, regardless of its industry, could avoid facing the question of the environmental impact of its operations, is long gone. In 2023, brands that embrace the issue of sustainability and take proactive steps to turn it into a strength are clearly the ones coming out on top.

At Creon, we’ve made it our business to ensure that our customers’ road to greener branding is both smooth and authentic. Our Profile Store webshop solution allows them to set and achieve ambitious sustainability goals through transparent processes with tangible criteria: our sustainability rating called From Good to Great, a clever system that ranks all items in the customer’s Profile Store based on their sustainability impact. Products that don’t live up to the level 1 criteria, which means exceeding industry standards, are not even added to the assortment.

Products can be filtered by sustainability rating, making it easier to shop products that reflect the brand’s values – from manufacturing to finished product. Creon supports the customer’s continued journey From Good to Great through ongoing assortment development with the explicit goals of increasing the level of sustainability.

In practice, an eco-consciously branded product can look like this lip balm created for our customer Epiroc: The product itself is 100% plant-based and vegan, and made from olive oil, carnauba wax, and jojoba oil from organic farming. The casing is made from 80% recycled plastic in brand colors and features the company logo prominently on the side. With a best-by-date of 24 months, this means a lifespan of two years for this product as an everyday branding opportunity with high visibility and a subtle scent of vanilla.

We’re excited to introduce our new CFO, Lina, and hope you’ll join us in welcoming her to the Creon team. Lina brings plenty of experience from working with large organizations, and is now looking forward to the chance to make a big impact with a small team: “There’s so much room to grow and shape a new approach to the operative aspects, but within a bigger strategic picture.” And while the role looked good on paper, joining us was really a gut decision. “There’s just such a great atmosphere at Creon,” she says. When we got the chance to design an exclusive collection to celebrate the 150th anniversary of our customer the Atlas Copco Group, we couldn’t wait to get started: We used rich colors and timeless designs with a slight heritage feel to embody the long history of industrial innovation that characterizes the corporation. We chose greener materials wherever possible in line with the Atlas Copco Group’s commitment to more sustainable growth. The collection ranges from event products like flags and balloons to long-lasting gifts like anniversary edition apparel, bags, and drinkware that will commemorate this milestone for years to come. Here’s to another 150 years! 🍾🍷🎊🎉

Branded items are a more organic way to communicate your identity and values both internally and externally. We designed warm pile zip jackets and knitted hats exclusively for our customer Epiroc. Here, these items are used to make sure that Epiroc’s Brand and Communication Council stays snug during a wintertime breakout meeting. A great example of how to show, not just tell, what your brand is all about!
